Carnival Cruise Line has announced protocol updates to meet public health goals and recognize the evolving nature of COVID-19. Vaccines and testing are not required for most U.S. and European departures, and guests sailing to and from Australia must visit the Australia Have Fun.Be Safe. page for protocols specific to those cruises. New protocols in place for Carnival Cruise Line will extend the window for pre-cruise COVID-19 testing for eligible guests as of March 1. For cruises departing March 1 or later, if a guest is vaccinated and has had their test results, they must show proof of a negative COVID-19 test (PCR or antigen) taken within three days of their embarkation.
A US150 per person charge will be assessed to the guests onboard Sail and Sign account to cover the cost of testing, reporting, and health and safety. Testing is not required for either vaccinated or unvaccinated guests, but Carnival encourages all guests, 5 years and older, to take a pre-cruise COVID-19 test. Pre-cruise testing is no longer required, except for cruises to Canada, Bermuda, Greece, and Australia (per local guidelines), and on voyages departing September 6, 2022, and later.
