The Mendenhall Glacier Dock is a popular docking location for Norwegian Cruise Line ships in Juneau, Alaska. It is located near the iconic Mendenhall Glacier and allows for easy access to downtown Juneau. There are four cruise docks in Juneau: the Cruise Ship Terminal, the Franklin Street Dock, the Alaska Steamship Dock, and the AJ Dock. Most cruise ships dock near downtown Juneau, which allows passengers to walk off the ship and soon be downtown.
Juneau’s docking facilities include three cruise terminals: the Ferry Terminal, South Franklin Dock, and Marine Park. These terminals can handle two ships and offer an accessible way to explore the Juneau Icefields. The Juneau cruise port schedule 2024-2025-2026 includes a map, address, ship terminals, hotels, tours, and shore excursions. Shuttle service is free, but long lines may occur when the ship arrives and at the end of the port call.
The Juneau cruise port is situated in the Gastineau Channel and the Alaskan panhandle, with some of the most challenging geography including grand mountain ranges. Larger ships tend to dock near South Franklin Street, while smaller vessels dock next to floatplanes. A third dock sits at the south end of town. From each dock, passengers can enjoy a variety of port stops and experiences in Alaska.
