The Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race, held annually on the third weekend of April, is one of the largest paddling events in New England and one of the largest in the country. The race, which begins at 10 am on Saturday, April 20th, 2024, is now open for early registration. The cost is $50 until April 1st, with 65pp available for April 2024.
The race will take place from Six Mile Falls in Bangor to the Penobscot River in downtown Bangor. The 16 12-mile race begins at 10 a.m. and goes from Kenduskeag Village to the Penobscot River. The event has been running 44 times, with Larry Merrill being a familiar face for the race.
