What Are Carnival Cruise Covid Restrictions?

Carnival Cruise Line has updated its COVID-19 testing standards, requiring all guests aged 5 and older to take a pre-cruise COVID-19 test within three days of their cruise. Vaccinated cruises are available for guests, but testing is not required for both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests. However, Carnival encourages all guests aged 5 years and older to take the test.

The updated protocols include lab-administered tests and self-testing for unvaccinated guests on cruises 15 nights and shorter. Certain destinations do not follow COVID-19 Guest Protocols, and vaccines and testing are not required to sail on most U.S. and European departures. Carnival encourages all passengers to be up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccines when eligible and carry them when traveling indoors.

All passengers must present a valid passport for at least six months after the end of the voyage. Birth certificates will not be accepted. Carnival also has age restrictions on board, with a youth curfew for guests 17 years of age and under who are not vaccinated.

Canceling a booking prior to final payment has no penalty unless a specific promotion is booked. The company encourages all guests aged 5 years and older to be up-to-date with their COVID-19 vaccines and carry them when traveling indoors.
