However I think you’ve been a bit paranoid with the phone stealing issue, Peruvians always warm you to be careful but they exaggerate so much, I’ve been living in Lima for very long and nothing has ever happened to me. Obviously if you go to dangerous areas yes they are risky but not even locals go there and the places that you have shown in the article are safe. I’ve lived in berlin and I’ve been robbed twice in Kreuzberg. I was just in a bad area and at the wrong time 🤦🏻♂️ Next time you visit Lima there are districts that are better than miraflores, like San Isidro, San Borja, Jesús María, la Molina, surco, etc you will have a more nice complete experience than just staying in Barranco and miraflores. There are nice parks and places to walk 😉
