How To Reset Super Cruise Lockout?

The Super Cruise system in a Denali Super Cruise is a driver assistance feature that can be turned off by pressing the Super Cruise button. If the Super Cruise symbol does not appear, a message will display explaining why the system is unavailable. If Super Cruise disengages, the driver must press the Super Cruise button within 10 seconds for more information. If Super Cruise™ 1 disengages while using it, the driver must press the Super Cruise button again or firmly take control of steering and press the brake pedal.

To use the Super Cruise driver assistance feature, the Adaptive Cruise Control must be on. Press the button (A) on the steering wheel to turn it off. Once the reset is completed, everything goes back to normal operation. Just coming to a stop and turning off the vehicle doesn’t reset it, only the Super Cruise system will be disabled until the ignition is turned off and back on.

A Driver Information Center (DIC) message will indicate that Super Cruise is locked out, and Super Cruise cannot be re-engaged until the next ignition cycle. If Super Cruise is unavailable, the driver can pull over, restart the truck, and have Super Cruise work again.

In summary, the Super Cruise system in a Denali Super Cruise is a driver assistance feature that can be turned off by pressing the Super Cruise button or firmly taking control of steering and pressing the brake pedal. If the system is locked out, the driver must wait for the ignition to return to normal operation.
