The Annapolis Yacht Club is a premier private yacht club located in Annapolis, Maryland. Established in 1883 as an informal canoe club, the club has built a tradition of excellence and encourages and supports a wide range of boating activities. The club offers high-quality programs such as sailboat racing, cruising, and junior sailing programs.

To join the club, candidates must be sponsored by two Regular, Life, or Intermediate club members who have been members for at least three years. There are no requirements to join the Cruising Fleet, but members can attend social events held year-round. The regular membership is fixed at 1600, and the waiting list has become long.

In addition to membership in the club, there are other types of new members who join the club, with dues prorated according to the time of year. Equity social membership is by invitation only with an initiation fee as high as 15,000 and annual dues at 5,500.

The club has 1,600 members who pay 11,000 to join in addition to monthly dues and a required monthly minimum for food. The club has never had a power membership breakdown, with one-time initiation fees of 1,000, annual full memberships of 3,985, 7,500, and Monday-Friday memberships of 2,813, 5,157.
