How Much To Join The St Francis Yacht Club?

The St. Francis Yacht Club, founded in 1927, is considered the most prestigious yacht club in the western United States. It is located on a Spanish Revival-style clubhouse on a sliver of land fronting the Marina Green and is considered one of the most prestigious in the world. The club’s mission is to serve as the inspirational center of boating activities regionally.

The St. Francis Yacht Club Race Committee is renowned for running some of the best sailboat, kiting, and windsurfing races in the world. The club is comprised of over 200 members and is located on the shore of San Francisco Bay, adjacent to the Golden Gate Bridge. Membership is by invitation only, with initiation fees ranging from 2,500 to 10,000.

The club assesses its 2,000 members monthly dues of up to 150, while onetime initiation fees can run up to 10,000. Dues are 25 a month, and dancing atop the bar was encouraged. Friday night parties sometimes ended with swims in the boat marina, though not all.

With direct access to the Gulf of Mexico, the club can accommodate vessels up to 55 feet. Membership in the club is by invitation only, and members are entitled to use their facilities, participate in a wide range of regattas and cruises, and enjoy activities and dining events at The Club.
