After 9:00 pm it becomes an adult only experience, but prior to that it is open to all ages. We even bought my kids a Porg souvenir glass! Apart from the interstellar experience, guests can also indulge in an exotic array of beverages served at the Hyperspace Lounge.
As a travel agency, we understand that many travelers are always on the lookout for a new adventure and a way to experience something completely different while cruising. One of the most exciting things about cruising is exploring the luxurious facilities on the ship itself. And, there’s no denying that Disney Cruise Line has always been on top of its game, with thrilling activities and extravagant amenities that will keep your vacation unforgettable. In this post, we’re excited to share all about theHyperspaceLounge on the Disney Wish Cruise Ship.
TheHyperspaceLounge is a cutting-edge venue where guests can enjoy futuristic views ofspacewhile bracing the pleasant ambiance of a lounge. The lounge adopts an interstellar theme with virtual windows that transform the cosmos around you into mesmerizingspacevistas that are designed to make you feel like you’re part of aspaceexploration team. It’s almost as if you’re floating through the galaxy.
What truly sets theHyperspaceLounge apart is how it immerses guests inspaceby taking them on a journey through the Star Wars universe. Each visit gives you a unique intergalactic journey every time you’re present. The lounge presents different worlds throughout the lounge, and the windows help you visualize each location with theirhyper-realistic projections. How do you get a reservation? As soon as I had access to the DCL NavigatorApp I was able to book two reservations. I wasn’t even on the ship yet, it was while I was waiting for my boarding group to be called. There is also a host stand with a friendly cast member who can help you withavailability. In order to allow as many guests as possible to visitthe Hyperspace lounge, reservations are usually limited to 45 minutes. During our sailing, we visited twice, once with our children, who are HUGE Star Wars fans and once later in the evening, when it only allowed adults. After 9:00 pm it becomes an adult only experience, but prior to that it is open to all ages. We even bought my kids a Porg souvenirglass!
Do you need a reservation for Star Wars Hyperspace Lounge?
I’m delighted you’re crossing the pond to sail aboard the lovely Disney Wish. Every space tells a story, including the bars and lounges. You can explore a new galaxy, float down the bayou, or sip a favorite cocktail watching the sunset. I know you’re going to find many refreshing options!
You can blast off to Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge and enjoy as many out-of-this-world cocktails as you’d like because reservations are no longer required. My young Padawan ordered the Cloud City with oat milk, blue raspberry, and Galaxy ice cream. The rest of us sipped various interstellar creations as Tattooine and Coruscant zipped by. During busy times, you may see a sign asking guests to limit their voyage to 45 minutes but don’t worry, Emma, I have a few other lounges you’ll want to explore.
Have your starcruiser drop you off at The Bayou for some old-fashioned Southern hospitality. This family-friendly space hosts a variety of activities. My in-laws loved the live musical performances in the evenings. They took my son to The Bayou while my husband and I went to Nightingale’s. This adult’s only piano bar was inspired by Cinderella’s rendition of “Sing Sweet Nightingale,” which is also the name of their signature cocktail. I recommend the Chocolate Frozen Bubble. The drink is mixed in a frozen bubble that you can break open with a tiny hammer! It was delicious!
To help prepare for your sailing, make sure you download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. Once you connect to the ship’s Wi-Fi, you can access the Daily Activity Schedule, lounge menus, deck plans, onboard chat, and more! I hope you have a fantastic time on your Disney Cruise! Drink it all in!

What is Disney’s biggest cruise ship?
Disney Wish is the fifth cruise ship owned and operated by Disney Cruise Line, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. She is the largest ship in the fleet and the first of the Wish-class. She entered service in June 2022 and will be followed by her sister ships the Disney Treasure in 2024 and the Disney Destiny in 2025. The other four ships in the fleet are the Disney Magic, Disney Wonder, Disney Dream, and Disney Fantasy. The Disney Adventure will join the fleet in 2025.
In March 2016, Disney Cruise Line announced that it had commissioned two new ships, described as larger than Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy but with an equivalent number of staterooms. A third ship of the class was announced on July 15, 2017 at the D23 Expo. In March 2018, Disney Cruise Line released the first rendering of its new generation of cruise ships. The 140,000-ton cruise liners would be LNG-powered and would accommodate at least 2,500 guests. In January 2019, the class of ship was confirmed as Triton in public documents published by Port Canaveral. However it is now following the standard naming of class after the first ship.
On August 25, 2019, the fifth ship was officially announced as the Disney Wish at the D23 Expo. Construction began in March 2020 at Meyer Werft, Germany, with the delivery date later changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Also announced at the D23 Expo was that Rapunzel would feature as the stern character on Disney Wish, with The Walt Disney Company releasing the design mock-ups for the ship, including a render of Cinderella as the ship’s atrium character.

One step inside the Millennium Falcon and you’ll likely find yourself quoting Han Solo and telling a friend, “Chewie, we’re home.” Starships and other vehicles play pivotal roles in every Star Wars story—and in Disney Parks’ Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, planet Batuu’s landscape is populated with a range of transportation vehicles, including iconic ships and practical speeders.
With both the Resistance and First Order establishing bases on the planet, evidence of their arrival permeates Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (just take a look at the starfighters and transport shuttles). But Black Spire Outpost is also a community full of residents just trying to go about their daily lives, so their transportation is represented, too—and everything is built at full scale.

Walt Disney Imagineering checked off that box aggressively on its to-do list for the newest cruise ship, the Disney Wish.
And this experience, found only on the Wish, transports guests to a long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away…
Disney’s theme park ride attractions are known for having transitional immersive experiences between the “outside world” and the attraction itself. Essentially, this is everything people see while they are waiting in line.
To get into “Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge,” guests walk through a sliding door with the push of a button and enter a “black box” that acts as the transition from the Disney Wish to a luxury passenger star cruiser inspired by Solo: A Star Wars Story.
“You forget that you’re on a cruise ship when you’re in the Hyperspace Lounge,” said Daniel Gallego, the entertainment manager for DCL, in an interview with Daily Hive.

About Disney Cruise Line: Disney Cruise Line offers a vacation experience unlike any other that magically brings families together …
“I know you don’t like bourbon…..” hands her a $5K shot of bourbon. “If you’re ever going to like bourbon”. Followed up by “I’m not a drinker……”….gets handed an ultra expensive shot. The $900 self awarded tip at the end is best cherry-on-top kick to the nuts while you’re bleeding on the ground I’ve ever seen.
They put so little effort into such an expensive experience. First off the novelty of a secret package needs more care. Who ever drops off the drink needs to hand the customer a card with the secret code on it and instructions for them to figure out. Second the drinks need to served in “Kyber Crystal” glasses the tin cups is a crime to such expensive liquor presentation. Third this whole experience needs more back story and explanation from the bartender like “the Empire confiscated these drinks from a smuggler on the run from a planet called Earth. Have you heard of Earth?”
Wonder how Colin got from the U.K. to be the man who brings out the $5k drink. The drink is worth a couple of hundred dollars at best. I assume you are really paying for the Skywalker Ranch visit. It will be interesting to see if that’s worth $4500 or whatever it cost after business tax deductibles. $900 tip just shows how out of control things are getting.
This is on the cheaper side of fine drinking though, yes you could “buy” the bottle for less or slightly more. Good luck finding said bottles for instance say a single shot of Duncan Taylor macallan 52 is between $89,000 – $120,000 a bottle that shot is going to run you about $25,000. The mark up is the same no matter what people pay $6-$12 a shot for jack danials all day long, but those bottles can be purchased for $18-$28 a pop. To say it isn’t worth it is a stupid argument. Why go to a bar or club or restaurant if that’s your mentality that $46 steak you just ordered from outback could have been purchased at sams club for $6.85. You pay for the experience not the object some people like steal some people like liquors some people like movies. You work your entire life to be able to live. So yeah
FUN FACT: Ever wonder why the Camtono container looks like an ice cream maker? That’s because it originally was. About 1 hour and 47 minutes into The Empire Strikes Back when Cloud city was being evacuated. A guy can be seen running with a Camtono container down the hall and that Camtono container he was carrying just happens to be a real ice cream maker machine. Did you know that the name “Camtono” actually came from a viral article of a baby trying to say “ice cream”. But instead, ending up slurring the word and it came out as “Camtono” instead.
So $5000 for four tickets to Skywalker Ranch – and $900 for the drinks. 😉 Pappy Van Winkle 23 is nice, but the 15 is better IMHO, even the 20. The port sounds interesting. I’m not a fan of gin, but I’m curious. Definitely not $5k worth of alcohol in there – I purchased a bottle of Pappy 23 for $279 retail. The ‘$6,000 a bottle’ price is high secondary market – and completely nuts. The cocktail sounds good. The invite for four is good – every online write-up I’ve seen said one person, and that’s totally not worth it. But I’m tempted to get this just for the four passes.
Does no one else feel uncomfortable with this, when other humans in the world are starving and don’t even have clean water? It is obscene and grotesque really. I want to be happy for them but it is just too much money wasted on a rather underwhelming experience. They didn’t even get their own glasses! Imagine sharing a tiny little drink like that! What an utter waste of money. Criminal.
One would feel better if these hotshots trying to impress (…I can’t imagine who’d be impressed with such foolish spending, but…) those ensorcelled with ostentacious expenditures, if they matched the funds with a donation to a charity or organization trying to help families who don’t know where their next meal is coming from, particularly with the world on the precipice of a recession.
So I really don’t understand how Pete is up for spending $5K on a drink experience that is Star Wars themed that he can’t fully enjoy, but won’t spend the approximately same amount of money on Galactic Starcruiser. They’re both Star Wars themed. This really just doesn’t make sense to me. This kind of experience is the equivalent of the type of experience you could get on the Starcruiser. (I went on GS back in March, so I’m able to say this from experience.)
LOL do they make you pay up front, imagine ordering that then your card gets declined. Do they shoot you ‘off into space’/send you to jail? hahah I’d ask them “What are these locations you speak of? Is Mount Everest on Hoth? Also you have Covid in outer space? You mastered interstellar travel but can’t defeat a communicable disease??” hahah
Thank you for ordering and sharing Pete! I’ve been so curious about this experience. I’m flabbergasted that they would add gratuity… that comes off as very distasteful to me. At that price, the service does not equate to 18% and even if the guest decided to tip that much, it should be up to them, not forced upon them. I wonder if this article will make it’s way up the chain… I can’t imagine that auto-gratuity would be approved at this level.
I don’t understand why anyone would spend so much money on a drink just for the experience ! I bet if truth be known, Disney laughs behind closed doors They knew there would be some who would actually buy it . If it were$10,000, you’d have the same. Disney can charge anything they want to . There aren’t a lot, but there will always be some that will pay .
Jesus I would want a discount just based on the bloody lecture he gives me when he delivers a drink. It’s kind of sickening that $5000 would be wasted on a drink when so many charities could benefit from that fund. That Disney can on one hand say it promotes goodwill and then on the other hand rip off customers for its own profit. Just the worst company in the world.
It was painful to watch ridiculously expensive alcohol wasted on people who knew ahead of time they weren’t going to like it. I loathe gin, so I wouldn’t have wasted what someone else would have enjoyed. And I certainly hope that $900 tip was split between all the bartenders on duty, because the one that brought the drink wasn’t even the one that took the order.
LLL😂L… What a waist of money. It’s actually smart though on Disney’s side. But, this is the demographic that literally would buy this. I’ve sold a $1,000 bottle of Azul to 5 guests when I worked at Lavelle and honestly, that’s even a joke. But at least with bottle service you’re getting all the components to be able to make drinks and to still attend to those guest and, if you notice that somone is drinking it on the rocks, or mixing with soda, then that let’s you know how they like to consume that $1,000 bottle. You don’t have too but, I would take that as an opportunity to replenishthe individual drinks of each person because, they just spent a $1,000 and, it’s a nice way to show your appreciation for that sale and to still maintain that relationship with your table. It’s interesting that the server wasn’t the one to explain anything and the guy that did, I mean, for $5,000 would you be satisfied with his explanation after seeing what… 3oz of liquor and whatever the thing in the middle was. I know I wouldn’t be. I wouldn’t even want to sell that, it’s embarrassing. In the end, it’s about status, the gram, showing how much one has to do to be noticed and, for what? Like did you guys honestly think that was justifiable for… hmmmmph 😏 $5,000?
