Carnival Cruise Line has announced that vaccination and testing are no longer required for guests aged 5 years and older. Vaccinated cruises are available for guests, but vaccinated guests must continue to provide evidence of their vaccination status prior to embarkation. Pre-cruise testing is no longer required, except for cruises where local rules mandate it, such as on sailings to Canada and Bermuda.
Carnival allows entry to anyone who has received mixed doses of FDA or WHO-approved COVID-19 vaccines. Vaccinated passengers on Carnival company sailings that last less than six days will no longer be required to provide a negative PCR or Carnival Cruise Lines Vaccine and Testing Policy. All new guidelines are effective for cruises departing on September 6, 2022 or later, and include: vaccinated guests must be fully vaccinated.
Carnival Cruise Line has welcomed the decision to lift all government mandated COVID restrictions for guests in 8 Cruises That Do Not Require Vaccines. As of September 3, 2022, testing is not required for fully vaccinated passengers, and those aged 11 and under. Unvaccinated passengers 12 and up are encouraged to do both.
On most cruise lines, passengers are no longer required to be vaccinated for COVID. Testing is not required for either vaccinated or unvaccinated guests. However, Carnival encourages all guests, aged 5 years and older, to take a pre-cruise COVID-19 test within three days of their cruise. Viking Cruises will lift vaccination requirements (where not enforced by the government) on November 1, 2023.
