Kobe, Japan is a compact city known for its mountains, urban landscapes, and sea. It is home to two cruise terminals: Naka Pier Cruise Terminal in downtown Kobe and Kobe Port Terminal, which is connected by the Kobe Port Liner to downtown in just 5 minutes. The Port Liner is a driverless train that provides easy access to the city center and the Kobe Port Tower.
From Naka Pier, visitors can easily reach the city center on foot. The Kobe Port Tower is located next to the terminal, and the Port Liner Subway will transport medium-sized passenger ships in the 50,000 gross ton class. The Kobe Port Terminal is located in the heart of the busy waterfront area, within walking distance of shopping and leisure complex facilities. Cruise ships generally dock at the Kobe Port Terminal on Shinko-cho, which has a total of six berths on both sides of Shinko Pier No. 4.
The Kobe Port Terminal is located by the base of Mount Rokko, right by the Kobe Port Tower. The tower has an observation deck that is over 90 meters high. The Port of Kobe has two dedicated terminals for passenger ships, one for Kobe Port Terminal and the other for Naka Pier Cruise Terminal. Both terminals are airy, light, and well-equipped for handling passengers boarding and leaving water vessels such as ferries, cruise ships, and ocean liners.
The Kobe Port Terminal is the main cruise ship port for central Japan, located in Hyogo Prefecture. The ports schedule lists all ships with cruises going to or leaving from Kobe-Osaka, Kyoto, Japan. The down town bus stop is near Kobe Motomachi Shopping Street, Nankinmachi (China town), and local train stations.
