Where Are Richmond Yachts Built?

Richmond Yachts, a Canadian yacht supplier, is based in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada. The company has a six-acre yard with a 70,000 square-foot under-cover facility that can build four composite yachts from 120 to 155 feet in length. The largest yacht in the world is Fulk Al Salamah, built by Mariotti in 2016, with a volume of 20,361 GT. On average, yachts are 36 meters long with a volume of 341 GT.

Richmond Yachts was founded by American entrepreneur Don Davis in 2004 when he couldn’t find a shipyard to build his dream superyacht. The yard, located on the Fraser River in Vancouver, has over 500 feet of deepwater dockage and a separate laminating facility containing all of the yachts.

The yard has experience building six superyachts over the years, including Status Quo, the largest composite yacht yet built in Canada and built at Richmond Yachts. The yard’s expertise in building high-performance and ultra-luxury superyachts is evident in their impressive fleet, including the 45.7-meter motor yacht Richmond Yachts Excellence, which can accommodate up to 10 guests and is maintained and operated by 9 crew members.

In summary, Richmond Yachts is a Canadian yacht supplier that offers new building services to the most discerning superyacht owners. They have built several impressive yachts, including the largest composite yacht ever built in Canada, Status Quo, and other luxury yachts.
