Carnival Cruise Line has suspended voyages for all but four of its 24 vessels until July 31, 2021. However, Carnival Vista and Carnival Breeze from Galveston, and Carnival Horizon from Miami will resume guest operations on July 3. Carnival Vista will return to the Port of Galveston on July 3, while Carnival Horizon will resume from Port Miami on July 5.
The major cruise lines are planning restarts in various phases in 2021, with news constantly changing. Carnival Cruise Line’s first sailing is scheduled for June 1, 2021, with Carnival Liberty and Carnival Breeze expected to sail on June 1. The brand also announced major deployment and schedules in January, with some ships in North America potentially returning later this year.
Carnival Cruise Line has also announced further cancellations and sailing, with officials in the Cayman Islands stating that cruise ships won’t be allowed back until at least September. In the Indian Ocean, Seychelles, Bahamas Paradise Cruise Line officially resumed passenger cruises on July 16, 2021, from West Palm Beach, Florida.
Carnival Cruise Line expects Carnival Pride to resume sailing from the Port of Baltimore on May 26, continuing the cruise lines year-round. Carnival Firenze has officially joined the Carnival Cruise Line fleet from sister line Costa Cruises, growing the fleet to 27. Royal Caribbean is now next in line.
Carnival Cruise Line plans to restart cruises out of Galveston, Texas, in July with two ships, Carnival Vista (starting on July 3) and Carnival Breeze (starting on July). The company is also planning to return eight of its ships to service starting August 1, departing from Galveston, Texas, Port Canaveral, Florida.
