When Is The Regatta In St Maarten?

The St. Maarten Heineken Regatta, the largest regatta in the Caribbean and likely the largest warm water regatta in the world, will celebrate its 45th edition from March 6-9, 2025. This world-renowned sailing event offers four days of World Class Racing, starting between 9:30-10:25 a.m. every day and taking place at various locations along the coast, such as Sint Maarten Yacht Club and Dinghy Beach.

In 2024, one hundred nine teams competed in the event, with boats ranging from a Swan 100 to the 12-foot RS Zest. The 44th St. Maarten Heineken Regatta is scheduled for February 29-March 3, 2024, with 110 sailing yachts competing. The Regatta Village, open daily from 3 p.m., hosts activities, music, and local cuisine, showcasing the best of the island.

The event has been running for 40 years, making St. Martins waters the ultimate Caribbean playground for sailors and landlubbers alike. The 4-day regatta finishes in a different harbor each night, and exhilarating sailing is followed by some of the best parties. The event is proud to announce a local and international line-up that compliments the energy of the regatta. Individual crew places are available, and no racing experience needed. The event is known for being famously unpressured friendly and offers full training for those interested in participating.
