What is Georgia’s rating?

The state of Georgia has a strong governmental framework, strong financial and budgetary management, and a large and diverse economic base. Its population growth trends are expected to outperform the nation, and the state is expected to maintain strong budgetary performance and high reserves levels. The state has committed to increasing reserves during good economic times and restoring reserves following draws to manage revenue shortfalls. The stable outlook includes the expectation that Georgia will maintain a commitment to structurally balanced budgeting amid potential softening economic conditions and tax policy changes.

The outlook also reflects the state’s long-term credit stability. However, the rating could be lower if significant financial pressures emerge and out-year gaps form, and if potential structural solutions prove insufficient to close the gaps. • Thanks so much for perusal! Fancy seeing my top places to visit in Georgia? Watch that article here: bit.ly/LozsLeisureGeorgiaTravel Here’s a link to the Georgia series: bit.ly/LozsLeisureArrivingTbilisi if you want to see more! A correction for the fruit I show and call Karaljoki (it’s a russian word for it) – they are actually called Xurma (ხურმა)! Thanks to @Annaconda for pointing this out. To follow more adventures: instagram.com/lozsleisure/ Big love ✌️

  • What we do not agree here is the prices… I as a Georgia must write this comment. I feel myself obliged to do so! You say it is cheap, but ask Georgias what they think. In Georgia we have ridiculous salaries, I’d say, legal slavery and the Gov does not do anything about it. Many people are obliged to work for 250 GEL otherwise they will starve. For 250 GEL which is not even 100$, you can probably buy monthly lowest budget food. Rental in Tbilisi is in USD currency which is ridiculous for such poor country. Flats range between 250$ or 350$. I see no point of having it in USD currency but well… There are thousands of graduates every year from the Universities and 90% of them can not find a job which will help them to pay for rent in Tbilisi and plus, just eat (I am not including, travel cost to Europe or shopping clothings and etc.). Consequently, in dating apps, the first question what dates ask each other is “do you have place?”. This is super Cliche in Tbilisi because majority of young people live with their parents due to very low salaries. They can not afford rental to move separately from their parents. I live in Europe now, and I smile from far how our government cheats western institutions by convincing them in insane lie, which is average salary of 1000 GEL. I do not even understand how it is possible to believe in that. As much as Georgia does not produce goods, they import everything. As much as we import we buy things in USD and now prices are going to extremely increase because 1$ into GEL is 3.

  • One of the best if not the best articles about Georgia that I’ve seen, and I’ve watched a lot of them. I can speak of the wonderfulness of the Georgian people. When I lived in Moscow in the early 90s working as a diplomat at the embassy, I made a Georgian friend, Sergey, who elevated my experience of Russia beyond what I could have imagined due to his incredible generosity. There were a couple of other Georgians whom I’d met at that time, and they were likewise extremely friendly and generous.

  • Great article! Georgia doesn’t claim to be the oldest wine producer in the world, Georgia claims to have earliest record of wine making in the world. It is a claim recognised by everyone, because it is not so much a claim as it is archaeological, peer-reviewed and Bordeux World Wine Festival exhibited and thereby confirmed data. Civilisations all across the neighbouring fertile crescent and far away China are competing to dethrone Georgia as future data is excavated, but at the moment Georgia is in a very comfortable lead.

  • OMG, now i am very proud of my country! (also proud of my past, my history, my traditions, my culture, my mountains, my villages, my forests, my dishes, my town, my museums, my historian monuments, my churches, my architecture, my language, my alphabet, my wine…😅💛) 💚🌏 Thank you so much, for this beautiful article 💚 Good job!

  • It’s lovely to see so many people love and enjoy Georgia. Please keep in mind the country of Georgia is NOT a European country nor was it ever. Georgia used to be a province of Iran before Russia attacked and forced the separation. This is the history of many middle eastern countries such as Armenia, Republic of Dagestan, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Afghanistan, Turkey and Iraq.

  • This is absolutely fantastic, I’ve been waiting for this and it surely didn’t disappoint instead made me salivate and marveled altogether. The way you presented this is like a gift from God, can’t help but appreciate the narrative and everything else that you see in this magnificent country. Stupendous job Loz ☝️✌🏻🤟🥰🙏😊❤😍

  • Love you guys. Second time when you visit Georgia try “Guruli Gvezeli”, It’s like a “Khachapuri” but with egg in it. It`s really tasty when it`s hot. Visit our country as many times as you can. Visit Batumi too. We love tourists and we are happy when we see so beautiful and happy faces. (especially she is really very beautiful *_*) Sorry for my bad English <3

  • Such a beautiful country. It seems it is really blessed by God. As a faithful christian I have an enourmous historical and spiritual interest in Georgia. I would love to go there for a few months just to visit the churches, pray and make pilgramages to the monasteries, while hopefully making friends with georgian people. They seem like nice folks

  • If you’re impressed with the country, you should see its folk dance and choirs. I promise you won’t be disappointed by a quick youtube search. I just saw the Georgian Folklore, Dance & Song Ensemble “Erisioni” in Zurich and it was magical. I dance and sing myself and was beyond impressed with the artists and the beauty of this culture ❤

  • Its been a while since i watched this article. Now that i am in tbilisi myself and i even have a youtube account😆, i thought about leaving a comment for you. I really liked that vlog. Very well structured, beatiful images and really good narrated. One can feel the passion and work that goes into your work.

  • what a beautiful article… If there’s any way, go back and adopt Tilly (-: Small suggestion again, I remember correcting you in one of the earlier articles that even though the Lady who gave you the Persimonns called them Karaljoki (it’s a russian word for it) and they are actually called Xurma (ხურმა)… You responded to that comment positively but then repeated the mistake in this article… Especially in the times, when Russia is occupying 20% of your country, I feel like some of the Georgian viewers might feel sensitive to that… Sorry, to be such a language police but it’s something I deeply care about not just with Georgian. PS: how breathtaking all your shots are (-: the wild cow is adorable

  • I’m going next month and have absolutely no idea what to expect, nervous, but after seeing some of these articles, it looks like an adventure i’ve been waiting for, I cannot wait. Did I read correctly there are bears up in the mountains though?, or do they tend to just avoid people? Certainly looking forward to trying the food, taking my book with me for writing recopies down! (yeah i’m a foodie).

  • I thought those old Zhiguli cars have all died out already, but you still found one to show, Loz. Next time you see one of them, do us all a favor: push it off the cliff. And it is Ok to pronounce Tib-li-si (the whole world does it, and in all its languages, – apparently, a proper pronunciation is an exclusive prerogative of Georgians and works only in their native tongue: tolerating diversity). Too bad your series are not a mega hit, – you two are a real deal: your positive energy is highly contagious and is packed with a truly invigorating mix of adrenaline and dopamine all the way, while your companion adds to it her charm and femininity. Many years from now, you will look back and be proud of your little magic for all who watched you. გაიხარეთ!

  • I think you guys did an amazing job being a tourist in Georgia visiting and exploring almost everything BUT I think you guys missed one thing the Georgian villages see almost every family has a house in a village obviously you guys missed it cuz you didn’t have anywhere to stay but if a can convince my parents i can give you it! I hope we can meet

  • I lived in Georgia most of my life and I never realized how fascinating people think it is. I lived in what Americans would call the “hood” which is actually most of Georgia due to war, but I loved it. I miss the pastries there so much. In Tbilisi there was an ice cream parlor that had bear shaped waffles to put in them and it was delicious. So if anyone goes definitely look for the ice cream parlors

  • Come visit Iran! first of all dont worry and dont believe the media, here is safe! • I don’t even know from where should I begin.. This article is just incredible! It caused a few tears on my eyes.. Thank you so much for your respect and effort! Yes, we are Georgians, 🇬🇪 we love your country and we try to build a better social structure. (By the way, I’m from another georgian city — Chiatura, which is well-known for its ancient cable cars and manganese manufacturing industry, there’s a lot to discover here, I would be happy if you visit my city.) Again thank you very much. We love all of you guys! ❤

  • Sakartvelos gaumarjos, with love from Poland! Been there in 2019, great country, super nice people, delicious cuisine. They made HUGE progress within last 20 years, country looks modern and much much more advanced than neighbour Armenia. Province is still much poorer, but overall you can see they progress very rapidly. EU flags eveywhere although Georgia is not in EU 🙂 Incredibly old and complex language – who the hell can pronounce ბაყაყი – the frog, with this crazy sound? :))

  • Great article – a snapshot into how wonderful this country seems and folks tell me it is!! My son-in-law is from Georgia and I’m perusal as many articles about this wonderful country to gain insight and understanding as to how he got to be such a wonderful human being!!! He’s also half Spanish though!! LOL!! Making him even BETTER!!! The kids even named my first grandchild Georgia!!! ❤ Just the other day a pal told me that her son has been traveling around Europe and has been staying in Georgia for several months now because he loves it so much!!! Serendipity at its best!!

  • Also, about capital city of Georgia, Tbilisi. David Agmashenebeli Avenue, Rustaveli Avenue, Marjanishvili Street, places around Freedom Square, around Rustaveli Avenue, Vake and so on. are my favorite places in Tbilisi, which have a Tbilisi city style, with a diverse European architecture, with modern architecture, of course, another part of the city, which is called “Old Tbilisi”, which represents a multi-ethnic culture, has its own character and so on. Also there are many who are ethnically non-Georgians in Georgia have Georgian surnames, so to speak, Georgianized, that’s why I sent you pictures of Georgian ethnic appearance in historical terms in my previous comments here. Various places, buildings, houses, streets of the city have been restored, but much remains to be done in this direction. In the same Tbilisi, there are still enough buildings, houses, including those that represent all the various European architectural styles that need urgent repairs and restoration.

  • If you want to know what a country is REALLY LIKE …ask a Black man from America . The ugly side of humanity is always exposed when it deals with Black people. That said, despite constant stares and occasional bewilderment from Georgias country side folk – my 4 year stay in Georgia has been refreshing . Beautiful country, real folk with common man aspirations . Extremely proud and macho people who are equally peaceful and welcoming. They have their problems, but as a Blackman – I can relate to the growing pains experienced by a people trying to move on from its experience with hostile powers . My wife is Georgian and she promised me I would grow to love Georgia – she was right. Even on my worst day in Georgia – I’m grateful for my experience here. I will always speak well of my 2nd home . Georgia is the jewel of Eurasia .

  • Great that I have come across this article, I have been longing to visit Georgia for a long time now and your article has provided me so many insights on the places to go to and what to expect out of my travel.
