What Airport Fly Into Miami Cruise Port?

Miami International Airport (MIA) is the closest major airport to the Miami cruise port, offering a wide range of flight options and convenient transportation options. It is located about 15-20 minutes from the cruise ships, depending on traffic. If you’re flying into Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL), Uber or Lyft are recommended for cost and convenience. The nearest airport to the Port of Miami is Miami International Airport (MIA), which is located just 8 miles away. Fort Lauderdale Airport (FLL) is 29 miles north of Miami cruise port, and the journey down I-95 takes around 30 minutes. Southwest does not fly into Miami, so the closest airport is Fort Lauderdale.

For a Miami-based cruise, it’s best to spend the day at the Miami cruise port, which is just 8 miles east of Miami International (MIA) Airport. The journey by car takes about 12 minutes, and even longer in heavy traffic. Carnival Cruise Line offers transportation between Miami International or Ft. Lauderdale International Airport to Port Miami on the day of embarkation.

The Miami cruise port to FLL airport is about an hour away, and the Fort Lauderdale cruise terminal is a 10-minute ride. Miami International Airport (MIA) is practically synonymous with Miami cruises, as it’s the closest airport to the port.
