The easiest option is to order the water prior to your cruise through Onboard Gifts.

How to get free water at Disney?

Diane, you have it right, during your trip to the Walt Disney World Resort, in the theme parks it does get quite hot in the Flordia sun. In many locations in the parks, you can ask Cast Members for water and they are complimentary. Not all locations have them so knowing where to ask is key. All table-service dining locations have water available during your meal, some will also provide you with a to-go cup of water as well. Most quick service locations will have them as well. If you are in Magic Kingdom and stop by Gaston’s Tavern in Fantasyland, they have more capabilities than say the popcorn stand in front of Cinderella Castle. The first will have water available, the second may only have bottled water available for purchase.

I am sure you are well aware, but I did want to share one option with you during your upcoming trip to save you a ton of time in the parks. Did you know that you can order food and drinks through your My Disney Experience app without having to wait in line? This can be a game-changing option in the parks with the Disney Mobile Order option. Simply log into your app, tap the three horizontal lines on the bottom right and select the “Order Food” option. This will walk you through the steps on where to purchase food and drinks from as well as a timeframe on when you will be around to pick it up. As the time nears, your app will notify you and allow you to select “I’m Here, Prepare My Order” and the Cast Members will get right on it! Your order will be ready soon and your app will let you know when it is available for pickup. It is super easy and will save you so much time bypassing the lines!

I wish for a Magical experience for you and your party on your upcoming trip. If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out and let us know, we are always happy to help!

Can you bring empty water bottles into Disney?

You can take snacks and reusable water bottles into the parks, but skip alcohol, plastic straws and chairs.

Your Disney World trip planning is well underway. You’ve chosen a hotel, bought your Disney tickets and picked a perfect pair of Mickey ears to match your outfit. However, multiple family members have food allergies, and you’re wondering whether you can bring food into Disney theme parks.

People with dietary needs, small children or those with a strict budget don’t need to worry because the Disney World outside food policy will make you feel happier than Timon and Pumbaa when they dig for grubs.

Can you drink tap water on a Disney cruise?

It sounds like you’ve heard some of my top tips for making the most of your cruise! I always bring a refillable water bottle with me. It’s good for the environment and you. You will be happy to know that the water available at the Beverage Stations and the casual dining venues, such as Cabanas and Marceline Market is filtered. The water served in the Rotational Dining venues and other areas of the ship are also filtered. Be sure to stop by Mickey’s Mainsail during your cruise to check out the new Disney Cruise Line water bottles. I love to purchase these to add a touch of vacation to my days back home.

One of my favorite places on a Disney ship is Cove Café, so I’m glad you have it on your radar! This adult-exclusive oasis offers a variety of beverages, from breakfast to late-night cocktails. While the beverages are available for an additional charge, many Guests don’t realize that the pastries and baked goods in the morning and the savory snacks in the evening are complimentary! So, order your favorite specialty beverage and enjoy a little snack while you are there.

And here’s an extra tip: Depending on the ship you are sailing, you will find the same offerings at Vista Café overlooking the main atrium. While it isn’t as serene as Cove Café, it is a great spot to take in all the action.

Can I bring a refillable water bottle on a cruise?

You are asked to not fill it directly from the machines on Lido but you can bring on refillable cups no problem. This. Please do not refill your bottle directly from the spigot. Dispense the ice and water into glasses and then pour it into your bottle.

Do cruise ships charge for bottled water?

Cruise Ship Beverage Packages Bottled water generally runs $3-$6 a bottle and surprisingly is included in the “premium” higher priced beverage package.

I had the typical GenX childhood with public water fountains and the trusty garden hose in the neighborhood as my source of water when I was thirsty. In grade school, we had scheduled breaks to line up at the water fountain but otherwise I don’t remember being thirsty. We rarely drank water growing up as a beverage, our family was a Kool Aid family with Tang if there was a coupon. We didn’t drink soda much at that time either, if we did it was a local soda, Frank’s Cola or Root Beer. Coca Cola was a special occasion beverage. Pepsi was my addiction once I started working in restaurants.

I lived life without being tied to a water bottle for nearly three decades. Now I can’t leave the house without a bottle of water (or refillable bottle) in my purse, car and gym bag. It’s the same when I travel. I long gave up my Pepsi addiction and now primarily drink water all day. I’ve learned how to ask for local tap water in a few languages to avoid the tourist trap expensive bottle of water default restaurants have. I know its cheaper to walk to the back of the shop or market to find the bottled water for much less than the chilled bottles at the front of the store. But if a cruise vacation is on your agenda, things can get tricky and expensive quickly so you need to plan accordingly.

As a traveler, I’ve found Facebook groups can be good sources of information but also a crazy judgmental space. For the love of Christmas please google your query first lest the keyboard warriors scare you off. Bottled water is the one question that will trigger the group like no other I’ve seen (bring your own snacks is a close second). I’d love to say – I think drinking coffee is dumb – why is there a Starbucks onboard when there’s free coffee available?

Another convenient option is to pre-purchase your preferred beverages before your cruise. You can do this under Onboard Gifts. These will be waiting for you in your stateroom upon boarding. Water prices currently range from $15 to $60, with tax and gratuity added to your bill. You can check the prices for your voyage once you select your departure port.

Each ship offers complimentary self-serve filtered water and soft drinks at the beverage stations. Disposable paper cups are available for your convenience. You can use them to grab a drink as you walk by or to refill your personal water bottle. The water is always nice and refreshing! I’m confident you’ll find the perfect option to quench your thirst.

Are water bottles free on Disney cruises?

I recommend that you consider bringing refillable water bottles rather than individual water bottles. There are 24-hour complimentary beverage stations on the ship which offer water and ice, and water bottle refill stations on Deck 4 of each of the ships. I usually stop by a few times a day and fill up my bottle. You could always bring a few water bottles and then refill them once a day. You can also pre-order water and other beverages, which will magically be awaiting you when you arrive at your stateroom.

Nancy, I recommend that you place anything you may need as soon as you board the ship in your carry-on bag since after check-in, your other luggage will not arrive at your stateroom until sometime after you board. I always include the basics like sunscreen and if you would like to take a dip in the pool, toss in your bathing suit, but leave your towels at home since they are provided. Remember to pack any medications, valuables, and your cruise documents and identification in your carry-on.

If you would like some ideas on what to pack for your cruise, check out these handy packing lists available on the Disney Cruise Line website. Depending on your itinerary, you may also want to add some magical extras to your list, so feel free to let us know which cruise you plan to take and we are happy to provide more packing tips!

Can you take your own bottled water on a Disney cruise?

Oh my goodness, your magical sailing on the gorgeous Disney Wish is nearly here! I’m so excited for you to experience this stunning ship and everything included onboard. Absolutely, you can certainly bring your favorite wine, beer, and even bottled water onboard. Let’s dig into those details together so you can plan what to pack, and how to best bring it along with you.

First, there is no technical limit to the amount of bottled water you may bring. However, this must be brought onboard in your carry-on bag which cannot be larger than 14″ x 9″ x 22″ so you will reach a maximum capacity. Please remember you will have your carry-on with you for a few hours as you explore the ship prior to your stateroom being ready, and water can be heavy. My family buys bottled water for our visits to the Walt Disney World Resort, but we enjoy the taste of the freshly made water onboard Disney Cruise Line. There are complimentary beverage stations on deck where you can enjoy endless refills of this fresh tasting water, soda, coffee, tea, and hot chocolate. I suggest packing a spillproof bottle or favorite insulated tumbler in lieu of bottled water for a cruise. You can also order a bottled water package through Onboard Gifts and Amenities to have this waiting for you in your stateroom rather than carrying it with you.

Each adult may bring up to two bottles of wine OR six beers each (no larger than 12 ounces per beer) onboard, in your carry-on bag. These must be in their original, sealed containers and clearly labelled. Every stateroom has a refrigerator so once your room is ready you can place it there to chill and know it’s waiting for you later that evening!
