How Do Packages Go Through The Usps?

The United States Postal Service (USPS) offers a range of services to help customers ship packages from the U.S. to other countries. These services include choosing the right mail service, packing your box, writing the address, calculating postage, and scheduling a pickup. While there are no guaranteed delivery times for regular first-class mail, an interactive map from the USPS can provide expected 1, 2, or 3 day delivery areas for Priority Mail® shipments.

To send packages from the U.S. to other countries, users can enter their ZIP Code and use the Carrier Route Map lookup to view carrier route maps with boundaries displayed. Postage can be calculated and purchased online at www.usps.com.

USPS delivers an estimated 700 million pieces of packages daily, with delivery times ranging from next day to several weeks depending on the service. The Postal Service moves mail using a combination of Postal Service vehicles and contracted air, rail, truck, and ground services.

Priority Mail® is the bestselling mail service, with domestic deliveries arriving in 1-3 business days depending on the package’s location and destination. First Class and Priority Mail packages are either transported by air or truck, depending on which one is used.

Users can choose their mail service by delivery speed, cost, and additional services like tracking and Priority Mail Express and Priority Mail boxes. Packages sent through Priority Mail Express typically reach recipients by 10:30 am.
