Does Joe Manchin Live On His Yacht?

Republicans have attempted to portray Joe Manchin as a yacht-owning Washington’s hottest club, but the 65-by-20-foot boat he lives in on the Potomac is not a yacht. Rumors spread throughout Capitol Hill that Sen. John Thune (R-S.D.) had a yacht, which PolitiFact gave a half-true rating. However, since Manchin lives there when he does not like living there, he lives on a boat because he doesn’t like living there.

Manchin drives an Italian sportscar and lives in Washington on a luxury yacht, Almost Heaven, which has become a popular destination for members of Official Washington. Rumors spread throughout Capitol Hill that Sen. John Thune had a yacht, which PolitiFact gave a half-true rating. Manchin fantasized about sailing home on Almost Heaven, though he conceded that it would take several weeks.

The first rule of visiting Joe Manchin III’s houseboat is not to talk about it. Democratic senator Joe Manchin had an awkward exchange with protesters from the deck of his yacht this week as his party was forced to delay its release. The NRSC said that Manchin has a 700,000 D.C. luxury yacht, insured for 700,000 dollars. A new Fox News report shows that Manchin continues to live the high life, spending over 20,000 on catering services at his yacht club.
