Do You Need Covid Test Before Cruise?

Before your cruise trip, review your cruise line’s health and safety protocols. If a pre-cruise test is required by a certain country, it will be noted. Vaccinated and unvaccinated guests who have recovered from COVID-19 within three months of their sailing date do not need the required pre-cruise COVID test before embarkation. With the lifting of government COVID-19 requirements, it is no longer a requirement for all guests to take a COVID-19 test prior to boarding their cruise. However, there are currently no Covid-19 vaccination or pre-cruise testing requirements for embarkation.

If you feel ill in the days before your cruise, do not travel. Instead, answer a health test. Testing is not required for either vaccinated or unvaccinated guests, but we encourage all guests, aged 5 years and older, to take a pre-cruise COVID-19 test within three months. Efforts to reduce the spread of respiratory viruses on cruise ships should focus on encouraging crew members and passengers aged 6 months and older to get tested.

Guests will be required to take their own lateral flow test at home within 24 hours of the departure date of the cruise and bring proof of a negative test result to show at check-in. Fully vaccinated passengers on sailings under 16 days do not need to present a pre-arrival COVID-19 test. If required to bring a negative test result to the terminal on boarding day, the COVID-19 test must be a viral test (PCR antigen).

Disney Cruise Line no longer requires guests to be vaccinated and tested for COVID-19 before sailing.
