Disney Cruise Rooms offer a variety of activities for families, including Family Activities, Youth Activities, and Adult Activities. Each ship has a variety of staterooms, with some having a small refrigerator for drinks and snacks. When choosing a stateroom, consider the type of stateroom (floor plan) and the location on the ship (category). The Dream and Fantasy have nine staterooms, while the Dream and Fantasy have nine.
Disney cruise rooms are equipped with refrigerators in every stateroom on every Disney cruise ship in the fleet, making them ideal for keeping medicine, water, wine, beer, soda, or room service leftovers fresh during sailing. Each stateroom also features a cooling box, similar to a mini-fridge, perfect for storing drinks and snacks.
Onboard the Disney Wish, staterooms have in-room refrigerators, while most staterooms have unique mini fridges located in the cabinet of the deskdresser. On the Disney Magic, each stateroom has a refrigerator for chilled items. Top-level concierge categories (Walt and Roy suites) have real refrigerators and freezers, while normal cabins do not.
Every DCL stateroom includes a beverage chiller, but the Disney Dream does not have a freezer section. The beverage cooler in the room is not a true refrigerator, but it can keep drinks cold. Your room steward will provide assistance with your needs.
In summary, Disney Cruise Rooms offer a variety of activities for families, with refrigerators available in every stateroom on each Disney cruise ship. However, the mini-fridges on the Disney Dream do not have a freezer section, and the beverage cooler in the room is not a true refrigerator.

Ship discounts, carpet compasses, what you CAN’T bring onto the ship, and how early you need to make your reservations.
Do cruise ship rooms have a fridge?
Most cruise lines do usually have a fridge of sorts in the cabins. These fridges are really “mini-bars.”
Sometimes they are stocked full of snacks, drinks and alcohol that you can buy at an inflated price, others are empty for you to put your own drinks or snacks in.
Some more luxury cruise lines like Viking, let you help yourself to anything in the minibar free of charge – but I usually cruise with the more mainstream cruise lines, so don’t go near the drinks and snacks stored in there!
Do Disney Cruise staterooms have microwaves?
Microwaves cannot be placed in Guests’ staterooms due to safety reasons. Cast members cannot cook or reheat any food brought onboard by Guests either. If you have food allergies or other special dietary requests, you can complete the Request Special Services form at least 3 days before your embarkation day. The earlier, the better, so Disney Cruise Line has sufficient time to look into your request.
In addition to therotational dining restaurants, room service is available 24/7 except for the final evening of your cruise. Most of the items are included in your cruise fare, and items that are at an additional cost will be noted in the menu found in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator apponce you are onboard. I like to order something light after returning from aPort Adventure if I feel like I can’t wait for dinner.

Is it cold inside Disney cruise ship?
In the main dining restaurants, the temperature is usually very comfortable. Quite often I’ve worn a dress and not needed a sweater or jacket with it. But, I usually have one with me just in case, because there have been times when I’ve needed it.
In the evenings on deck and all day on sea days, you’ll find there is a cool breeze, so it’s nice to be prepared for that with a light jacket or sweater. If you’re sailing in the warmer months, you might find you don’t need it at all! My advice is to bring a couple sweaters or a light jacket. They won’t take up that much space in your luggage, and it’s best to be prepared. If it will make you more comfortable, you’ll enjoy your cruise with Disney that much more!
I hope that helps, Robyn! Let me know if you have any further questions as you plan your cruise!
Can I bring a cooler on a Disney cruise?
You are just days away from setting sail on your Disney Cruise Line vacation and I’m sure you are checking off items from your packing list. You will be glad to know that yes, you can bring a 12x12x12 cooler with cans of soft drinks when you board. These will need to be among your carry-on items rather than checked baggage, so keep that in mind as you pack. I often bring a soft-sided cooler with a carrying strap to make navigating around the ship easier until our stateroom is ready, which sometimes takes a couple of hours after boarding the ship.Once in your stateroom, you can store your soft drinks in your refrigerator.
Marlyse, I like to bring a refillable tumbler along because there are complimentary sodas, iced tea, and specialty waters available on the ship! Just stop by the beverage stations on the pool deck or the casual dining locations like Cabanas or Marceline Market. For health reasons, remember to use one of the cups available at the drink stations to refill your personal cup. And while you are at it, get some soft-serve ice cream available at Eye Scream Treats orSweet Minnie’s Ice Cream(on Disney Wish), which is also included in the cost of your cruise!
I hope this helps you as you prepare to sail away! Please let us know if you have other questions.
Do Disney cruise rooms have fridge?
7. Your Stateroom Will Have a Refrigerator. Sort of.. Every DCL stateroom includes a “beverage chiller.” On the Magic, Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy these look like small dorm refrigerators, on the Wish and Treasure these are drawer-style coolers. There is no in-room freezer available.
I’ve found the chillers to be great for keeping a carton of milk or an extra slice of key lime pie cold overnight. If, however, you will need something more robust than the room fridge (for something like medication or breast milk), contact DCL via the Special Services form.
8. There is Storage Space for Clothing and Luggage.. The space under the queen bed in your stateroom is open, making it the perfect place to store your suitcases when not in use. Additionally, you’ll find closet space with hangers and shelves for stowing loose items. On the Magic, Wonder, Dream, and Fantasy, you will also find drawers for folded clothing. The Wish (and presumably the Treasure) have open shelves inside the closet. On these ships, it can be helpful to bring packing cubes to help corral your items and segregate them from those of your traveling companions.
How cold is it inside a cruise ship?
Ambient temperature on the vessels ranges between 18 – 20°C (64 – 68°F) in public areas, while cabin temperatures may be adjusted according to your preference.

Are water bottles free on Disney Cruise?
I recommend that you consider bringing refillable water bottles rather than individual water bottles. There are 24-hour complimentary beverage stations on the ship which offer water and ice, and water bottle refill stations on Deck 4 of each of the ships. I usually stop by a few times a day and fill up my bottle. You could always bring a few water bottles and then refill them once a day. You can also pre-order water and other beverages, which will magically be awaiting you when you arrive at your stateroom.
Nancy, I recommend that you place anything you may need as soon as you board the ship in your carry-on bag since after check-in, your other luggage will not arrive at your stateroom until sometime after you board. I always include the basics like sunscreen and if you would like to take a dip in the pool, toss in your bathing suit, but leave your towels at home since they are provided. Remember to pack any medications, valuables, and your cruise documents and identification in your carry-on.
If you would like some ideas on what to pack for your cruise, check out these handy packing lists available on the Disney Cruise Line website. Depending on your itinerary, you may also want to add some magical extras to your list, so feel free to let us know which cruise you plan to take and we are happy to provide more packing tips!
Do cruise ships get cold at night?
Don’t Forget to Bring a Sweater While you’re cruising to a Caribbean island, you might not think you will get chilly, but it can get downright cold on the open water at night. Restaurants and the casino can also be a bit chilly, and you’ll want a lightweight sweater or pashmina to keep you warm.
In my recent12 Things to Know Before Your First Cruisearticle, I mentioned that one of the most frequently asked questions I hear about preparing for a cruise is: “What do I wear?” While my answer was simplified in the interest of brevityforthat article, I want to delve a little deeper in today’s vacation planning post, which is sponsored by Carnival. I’ll not only tell you everything you need to wear, butwhat to pack for a cruisein general. I’m a big time planner and I have found that a well-packed suitcase makes for a much more enjoyable cruise vacation!
Before you begin packing for your cruise, take a look at the itinerary on the cruise line’s website. Where are you going? What shore excursions have you booked? Do you plan on dining in the formal dining room, or only hitting the casual buffet each night?
For most cruises, you’ll want to bring at least one formal outfit for “formal night.” For women, this can mean anything from a nice dress to a ball gown. Men will want to wear a collared, button up shirt and tie with trousers and dress shoes. On Carnival cruises, ties aren’t required, but many men choose to wear them, as well as sport coats, on Cruise Elegant Dining nights. While men can wear a suit or tuxedo, it is not a requirement on most cruise lines. Think “Sunday Best” at the very least.
What amenities does Disney Cruise have?
So be sure to check out all there is to do on board before you set sail:Character Experiences.Deck Parties.Dining.Fitness and Recreation.Movies and Live Shows.Nightclub and Lounges.Pools and Splash Zones.Shopping.
What is not included on a Disney Cruise?
Of course, there are some optional extras that come with an additional charge. If you want to surf the web, go on Disney Port Adventures, treat yourself to spa services, play Bingo, enjoy alcoholic drinks, grab specialty coffee from Cove Café, or dine at the adult-exclusive restaurants – those are additional. Finally, gratuities can be prepaid before you embark or changed to your stateroom account.
I hope this information helps! Please sail our way again if you have any additional questions.
Is Disney cruise free food?
Most breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as buffet meals, are included in Disney cruise prices. Only alcoholic beverages and the adults-only restaurant collection cost more.
The line distinguishes itself with its rotational dining program, which is included in the price of your Disney cruise. Passengers cycle through three main dining rooms, each with its own theme, while keeping their original dining staff.
One such signature venue is the animation restaurant called Animator’s Palate (available on Disney Dream, Fantasy, Magic and Wonder). There, Disney characters and sometimes your own drawings come to life during the meal.
Another popular venue is Tiana’s Place. Featured exclusively on Wonder, the restaurant is hosted by Princess Tiana herself and meals are accompanied by live New Orleans-style music.
Are there fridges in Disney Cruise?
I’m happy to report that yes, there are refrigerators in the staterooms on the Disney Dream. In fact, there are refrigerators in every stateroom on every Disney cruise ship in the fleet! These stateroom standards are a nice size for keeping medicine, water, wine, beer, soda, or room service leftovers fresh during your sailing. Please know there is not a freezer component inside, but it’s a good-sized refrigerator tucked away for your use.
Be sure to pack a refillable bottle for everyone in your travel party, as you can fill these up on the pool deck with a variety of hot or cold beverages for use around the ship. My husband keeps our metal bottles in the fridge overnight to pre-chill the inside, ensuring our ice water stays frosty on a beautiful beach day. Did you know you can bring your own wine or beer onboard? Please see this answer I recently shared with a Guest regarding the many options for alcohol and other beverages onboard.
Room service is complimentary onboard, Karen! If you find you need just a smakeral of something sweet at night, you now know you have space to save the leftovers for tomorrow. My panel pal Adrianna shared there is a secret cake of the day through room service – half a slice from the fridge sounds like the perfect cruise breakfast!

DISNEY WISH STATEROOM TOUR – VERANDAH OCEAN VIEW: Today we are sharing with you a FULL TOUR of our DISNEY …
One of the nicest things the kitchen staff did for us on our first cruise was they surprised my Filipino wife by making her chicken adobo. We thought they were only going to make a few peices until they put a large bowl of rice on the table and about 2 chickens worth of adobo. The family we were dining with ate really well that night because they just got 2 dinners.
Another tip on passports: if you are a naturalized citizen (born elsewhere, but now a US citizen) it usually takes longer to apply for one because you have to send all your naturalization paperwork in with the standard documents, so the turn-around times don’t generally apply – always give yourself extra time, if you can.
The elevators on the Wish have which floors they go to listed outside the elevator door, no need to check inside. Also, the forward and aft stairways have different colors, one is green, and the other is blue. One has Cinderella’s carriage motifs, and the other has songbirds. Makes it easier to keep up with where you are.
We are Disney Cruise line freaks… We are on the Silver Anny on the Fantasy here in May! We are all about DCL and Empty Nesters and I vlogg my senior life on DCL.. We do at least 4 cruises a year. We live in Texas so are lucky to be able to catch a few a year from here. We love Disney Cruise Line and their services. Cheers AJ!
If you live in the northeast, I’d highly recommend a NYC cruise. The cruise itself is cheaper and it’s cheaper to take a train or a bus into the city then it is to fly and have to spend a night in the hotel before. Bermuda is also my favorite port of call so you don’t miss out on excursions. Also sailing down the Hudson is amazing and the boat was way less crowded.
The nursery for us was $9/hr on the wish for our 3 year old. We just did 2 hours a day except for castaway cay day, he absolutely loved it and the cast members were great communicating through the app. Highly recommend it. My little will be aged out of the nursery on our next trip and the kids club age is a little strange for me to feel ok leaving my 4 year old. Also our servers were amazing!! My little gets a glass of chocolate milk at home every night for dinner, after the first night they had his ice cold milk ready every night. Didn’t have to ask and they made sure to not put any food he’s allergic to on or near his plate (although I kept his epipen with me, it was great not to stress it)
One thing I found incorrect as an experienced cruiser: you do NOT want or need to bring your passport off the ship with you at ports of call. I repeat DO NOT bring your passport. Your key-to-the-world card or room key is your ticket through customs and back on the ship. Bring a paper copy of your passport and/or have a clear picture of your passport with you but NEVER the physical thing. You can very easily have a family member or crew member aboard bring you your passport or send it to you if you cannot get back on the ship or are detained. They cannot steal it back for you if it gets stolen or find it for you if you lose it in another country. Just lock up your passport in your room safe and bring along a photocopied paper of it with you when you get off. If you are detained or barred from getting on the ship then a paper copy will have all the information they need to confirm your citizenship and a crew member will be able to get you your passport from your stateroom.
@6:32 as someone who went on a Disney cruise at 12 years old just before Edge existed, I APPRECIATE EDGE. Oceaneers is split as 3 – 12 even today because Edge did not exist yet and Vibe started at 13. This was and is a major mistake by Disney. Oceaneers is WAY too immature for a 12 year old. I would say 10’s pushing it. Oceaneer’s daily activities were restricted to things 3-5 year olds could always participate in, which seriously narrowed the offerings. Age appropriate activities for 10 -12 year olds by themselves were non-existent – they could join in with the littles or go find something else to entertain themselves. I spent most of my time as a 12 year old hanging out with my mom in the family friendly activities or wandering the ship by myself, which got very boring. I was bored on a DISNEY CRUISE. I am very happy Edge is a thing.
Re: the passport thing: I heard a story recently of somebody who forgot their passport when going to Canada from the US. The border agent let them through because claiming “I didnʼt realize I needed a passport to go to Canada” was proof that they really were from the US; nobody else would make that mistake. Knowing the source I expect this story is exaggerated or distorted but has a kernel of truth.
Looking for people with mobility issues who’ve been on the Wish….we will have someone that may or may not be in a wheelchair from an injury. Definitely no stairs….we are concerned if this will impact the ability to get on the Aquamouse and off the ship at Castaway Cay etc. Would it be better to have a wheelchair and then utilize lifts rather than a walker? We don’t want them hurt and they don’t know if they want a wheelchair. Any personal experience in this area from people with mobility issues would be so appreciated!!
I have never done a Disney Cruise (or any cruise for that matter) but I do want to do it sometime soon. So here’s a question, my dad is a diabetic and I know that Disney is good about accommodating guests with dietary needs but does anyone know what types of deserts he would get if he wanted something with dinner? Is it like sugar free ice cream or something else? Also are you allowed to bring fans with you? Me, my dad, and my brother all sleep with box fans for the white noise.
So I just want to make double-sure… if we sail when my son in 12, he can still get into the kids club, and now get into the tween club?? We haven’t sailed as a family since he was 7, so I wanted to make sure that booking this year is the best way for him to get the best of both worlds. Plus, he’s on the autism spectrum, so I think he will still really enjoy the activities of the kids club.
ok so im not sure as to what is going on but i have tried to download it twice and i still have not recived anything in both my email addresses and its very confusing as to why. but anyway i will ask someone else or ill figure it out and i will never try to down load it from you ever agin cause this is not the first time it has happened to me and its very confusing . so i wont be doing it from you guys anymlore
Some really great information here. However, I noticed that some of your B-roll quality in this article is a little…odd? It seems like they were recorded by someone who’s never done this for you. They’d pan very quickly, or the article would be tilted and it looked like they stumbled? From 20:20 to 20:28 was very hard to watch. I ended up just listening to your voiceover and stopped looking at the article since it made me a bit dizzy.
