Did Disney Cruise Ships Stop At Epstein Island?

Disney cruises have been accused of sending children to the private island of convicted child sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who was known for his notorious history. Disney purchased Epstein’s island in March 2024 to build a theme park, and Snopes has reported that Disney Cruises has made stops at Little Saint James Island, known for Epstein’s notorious history. The first claim involves snorkeling trips that a Disney-affiliated tour provider used to run near Little St. James Island, a small private island in the United States Virgin Islands that Epstein owned. A new rumor indicates that Disney has purchased Epstein’s island for 3 billion to add a new Disney Cruise Line Island and theme park. Little Saint James, an island previously owned by Epstein, is the site of a number of alleged crimes, including sexual abuse of multiple women.

Online posts using flawed logic and false information to malign The Walt Disney Co. as sympathetic to pedophiles or predatory toward young children have been taking the issue seriously on social media. The company has publicly opposed a Florida bill banning instruction on sexual instruction, but it is not clear whether Disney offered cruises to Epstein’s private island. Disney does own a private island in the Bahamas called Castaway Cay, which is used as a cruise-ship stop.
