Carnival Cruise Line prohibits the use of Lysol spray, which is an aerosol container, on board ships. However, distilled water can be purchased pre-cruise or on board by contacting Room Service. If you wish to bring your own distilled water with your CPAP machine, it must be hand-carried along with it.
Lysol Disinfecting Spray does not disinfect the air it is sprayed into, but instead works by disinfecting the surfaces it is sprayed onto. It is not harmful to Norovirus, but it weakens your immune system response to other pathogens. Lysol is flammable when dry, so it is essential to avoid spraying it near heat sources.
When packing for a cruise, there are seven essential items to keep safe and secure: toiletries, personal aerosol products like hairsprays, body sprays, and Lysol cans, as well as Clorox wipes. Personal grooming products like shaving cream, hairspray, and deodorant are allowed on cruise ships in reasonable quantities. However, there are many other common items that are not allowed on a cruise ship.
According to Carnival’s website, plastic bottles are not allowed on board. To get around this, cartons of water can be taken, and Lysol wipes can be brought in carryons to wipe down draw pulls, handles, and TV remotes. Body sprays and hair sprays are allowed, but air fresheners may not work on planes.
Carnival Cruise Line also prohibits weapons, illegal drugs, and certain items that could interfere with the safe operation of its ships or aircraft.
