Who Owns The Yacht Sovereign?

The Motor Yacht Sovereign, formerly Harbour Island, was launched in 2011 by Newcastle Marine and is currently attracting large crowds at the new NE1 Newcastle City Marina. With a volume of 1,100 gross tons, the £40m vessel is a top status symbol for the wealthy. When Sovereign Yachts ceased business in 1988, CFPF bought the assets, including ownership of the hull molds, and started producing the boats under the Sovereign brand.

The largest yachts owned by tech billionaires like Jeff Bezos and Mark Zuckerberg are the Sovereign Superyachts. The 54.9 metre Newcastle motor yacht Sovereign, listed for sale with Michael Mahan at Worth Avenue Yachts, features exterior design by Jack Hargrave and can accommodate up to 8 guests. The yacht was the unsuccessful challenger of the 1964 Americas Cup for the Royal Thames Yacht Club.

The 25.97m superyacht Sovereign, built by Broward Marine in the United States, was delivered in 1961. The 30m vintage mid-century modern Jack Hargrave-designed Burger motor yacht Sovereign has also been on the market, with a 29.36m964 motor yacht by Burger offering flexible accommodation for up to 7 guests in 4 cabins.

Custom Fiberglass Products of Florida, Inc., owned by Robbie Bowen, has built several Sovereign boats. The yachts are a testament to the strength and sovereignty of the family unit and home ownership as the bedrock of society.

I am a school teacher who was bitten by the travel bug many decades ago. My husband Billy has come along for the ride and now shares my dream to travel the world with our three children. The kids Pollyanna, 13, Cooper, 12 and Tommy 9 are in love with plane trips (thank goodness) and discovering new places, experiences and of course Disneyland.
