Josh Golder, owner of the 47-meter motor yacht King Benji, believes that two things were missing in boats under 500GT: a real connection with the marine environment and a sense of being outside. The yacht, built by Turkish shipyard Dunya Yachts, has a gross tonnage of 497.0 GT and a 8.8 m beam. It was designed by Gregory C. The 46.7m1533 superyacht offers an unmissable chance to charter a brand new superyacht, having only launched this year.
The yacht features reclaimed and textured timbers, beautifully crafted bamboo details, natural materials, and organic woven fibers. Each deck takes visitors on a journey, echoing tropical and other waters-edge lands. Botanical prints command attention.
The exterior design is by Gregory Marshall, featuring a steel hull and aluminum superstructure. The large aft of the yacht offers a Jacuzzi concealed under the bow sun pads that offers dual temperature settings and a crows nest. Entrepreneur Josh Golder may have owned 13 production boats in his lifetime, but the 154-foot King Benji is his first full custom new build. He spent five years planning and 45 million building his Dunya explorer.
The yacht can charter up to 10 guests in 5 cabins (5 double) with a crew of 10. The initial meeting took 30 minutes. The 46.7-metre Dunya superyacht King Benji has been delivered to her owners, completed at the Dunya Yachts facility in Pendik, Istanbul.
