Who Owns Kaos Open Yacht?

Walmart heiress Nancy Walton Laurie owns a 300 million-dollar superyacht, Kaos, built by Oceanco, the same company that built Jeff Bezos’ 500 million megayacht. The yacht, initially built as Jubilee, is now owned by Laurie, who bought it in 2019 after putting up Secret for sale. The boat is estimated to be worth €300 million and weighs 20-30 million tons.

Lawrence, daughter of Walmart co-founder Bud Walton, has an 8 billion net worth and various business ventures, including Paige Sports Entertainment and Providence Bank. She is also the owner of the yacht Kaos (formerly known as Jubilee), which was built for the Emir of Qatar and sold for €275 million in 2018.

The 100m Oceanco-built superyacht Kaos was defaced in red and black paint by two climate activists using fire extinguishers. The protestors were seen holding up a sign reading “You.” The 110-meter Oceanco superyacht Kaos arrived on the Thames in London after a transatlantic passage from Miami. The yacht set out on the almost 4,000 nautical mile journey in early May, stopping only once en route in the Azores and again at the mouth of Thames, opposite Southend-on-Sea.

Lawrence’s yacht Kaos was vandalized this morning while moored in the Ibiza seafront marina by protestors from the Futuro Vegetal group. The Spanish newspaper Periódico de Ibiza reported that the vandals used fire extinguisher cans to throw paint across the yacht’s transom and held up a sign reading “You.”
