Austria reopened its borders for tourism on June 16, 2020, but went into lockdown for most of fall 2020 and winter/spring 2021. Aruba slowly reopened to tourists between June 15 and July 10, while visitors from nearby Caribbean islands Curacao and Bonaire were temporarily closed. Many countries are reopening their borders for international travel, with over 65 of their destinations completely closed to tourism in all UNWTO regions: Africa, Americas, Asia and the Pacific, Europe and the Middle East.
As the world gets vaccinated against the novel coronavirus, several countries are allowing Indian travelers to travel. Thailand will allow vaccinated travelers from 46 countries and territories to enter the kingdom without quarantining from Monday. However, U.S. citizens are still allowed to enter most European countries. Destinations like Dubai, the Maldives, Croatia, and Jamaica have already opened their doors to foreign visitors again, while Bali and Thailand hope to reopen in the coming months.
Countries and territories open for tourism include Africa, Benin, Botswana, Americas, Antigua and Barbuda Argentina, Asia, Afghanistan, Armenia, Guatemala, Spain, France, Portugal, and Denmark. Rules and restrictions differ among individual countries. New Zealand, Cambodia, Thailand, and India have removed all COVID-related requirements, with their travel restrictions indices. Vaccinated travelers from Australia and those from countries that don’t need visas, including Canada, the United States, Mexico, and the Philippines, are also allowed to travel.
