The signing on ‘you’re never over’ gets so much attention. But the second verse on that song is perfect lyricism. It starts brash and brazen, as if he can carry on like before. But in the second half it’s like he finally admits the grief. i can’t overlook Alfred’s Theme as one of my favourite eminem songs of all. It’s been my top played spotify song (by a mile) since MTBMB Side B came out. The word play mixed with the beat and flow switches – never a skip for me. That song is basically everything i love about eminem wrapped up into a 5 and a half minute masterpiece

I agree Godzilla and Lucky You have had the best staying power of any of his recent tracks. I think MMLP1 and ES are still his 2 best albums, but he’s made a bit of a comeback imo with Kamizake and MTBMB. They were improvements over Relapse, Recovery, and Revival. MMLP2 is around that tier, maybe a tad better. Just my opinion. Anyways bro, big fan! You’re talented and entertaining. Keep em coming

Good choices I don’t totally disagree but it’s definitely hard to do the best song and worst song on recovery because recovery is just a return to form. I think Godzilla is the best song on music to be murdered by and it’s on the level of rap god in my personal opinion or it’s pretty darn close. I think bad guy is one of my favorite songs from the MLP two

I think we all knew that No Love, Rap God & Godzilla were going to be in your favourites. I’m also glad you picked Mockingbird, that and Like Toy Soldiers are in my Top 10 Favourite Eminem songs and definitely my 2 favourites on Encore. Till I Collapse is definitely my favourite on The Eminem Show too. I also knew Castle & Arose were going to come up when it comes to Revival. The album still hasn’t grown on me, but like you’ve said with MMLP2 dropping in your senior year of college (I was starting high school) it’s one of those albums that I can vividly remember where I was in life when it dropped. They definitely are my two favourites on Revival along with a few others, and honestly probably 2 of the greatest songs he’s ever written period. I’ve always said that it’s a shame those songs were on that album as if they weren’t, I think they would have got a lot more attention. Also with Kamikaze I definitely agree, for me my favourites are Lucky You and Not Alike. Fall and Kamikaze are great too. Another Em album that means a lot to me, and honestly I think is fairly under-rated these days. I didn’t get to go to the Australian tour Em did for it, which to date is the last time he came here and I’m still sad about it ngl.

I’m sorry but Untouchable is a masterpiece and Revival has some of Eminem’s best works, i’m not talking about the entire album but a handful of tracks on the album are absolutely incredible, i’m talking about rhymes, flow, metaphors, not about if does it sound good, can i dance to it, will i get chicks playing this in my car shit. And Sing for the moment is one of the best songs ever put together. What i love about little engine is that he tries to sound like an engine ramping up on the chorus and even on the verses, a chainsaw or motorcycle for example, if you focus only on the notes and entirely zone out the lyrics, try replacing every syllable with the same one like ‘dun’ and it’s a pretty nice song overall. Anyway, Eminem is the only artist i know of at least that has albums with troll tracks made specifically to get a reaction out of you such like “rain man”

I’m only listing my top favorite for each studio album. I rarely pick a single for an album as my favorite. I know I’m way late to this, but here it is. Infinite: Infinite (I think it was in 2001 or 2002 when I first listened to this album. Infinite was a great leading song that I rarely experience among albums), Slim Shady LP: Still Don’t Give a Fuck (This song was such a banger to me and was right after an event that made me pissed at the world), Marshall Mathers LP: I’m Back (I was 16 at this time and the best captured me and the words were nearly the thoughts in my head), Eminem Show: Business & ‘Till I Collapse (this is my favorite album and I cannot choose a top fav), Encore: Mockingbird (I wasn’t into Encore that much and Mockingbird was a nice pace to see Marshall as a person with feelings and fears), Relapse: Bag Pipes From Baghdad (Beautiful is very close. However, I had just returned from Iraq during this album’s release year and the song is a jumbled mess which is how I felt about myself), Recovery: Going Through Changes & Not Afraid (This hit hard at a time between the military and rejoining society, and not knowing where to go in life), Marshall Mathers LP 2: Wicked Ways (I’ve always liked the crazy side of Eminem’s lyrics. The lyrics, delivery, beat, it was a perfect song in my thoughts. I do agree with most of your takes actually, or can at least see your perspective on most of them that I don’t. While obviously “My Name Is” is the most I iconic song of its time, I’m also a huge fan of “Rock Bottom”. I do actually have to say “Big Weenie” is my least favorite of Encore. While that whole middle stretch was a little rough, that song particularly was just awful to me. MMLP 2 I would argue that while “Rap God” is more commercialized, I feel like “Evil Twin” goes harder. I also enjoy the energy behind “Survival” and really relate and use “Legacy” for mood music.

Not that anyone cares, here’s my picks (in album order)… Best: Infinite, Rock Bottom, Criminal, Soldier, Mockingbird, Beautiful, Cinderella Man, Love Game, Walk On Water, Not Alike, You Gon’ Learn, Alfred’s Theme. Worst: Maxine, Cum on Everybody, Amityville, Drips, Ass Like That, Must Be The Ganja, Love The Way You Lie, Rap God, Revival was ass, pick any song that isn’t Walk On Water, Good Guy, Godzilla, pick any track bar Alfred’s Theme. I don’t think I’ve enjoyed a single Em project post The Eminem Show but there have been individual good tracks.
I personally love revival. I wasn’t big on social media or YouTube reviews back then. So I went into the album with no expectation or chatter and really enjoyed it. It was later when I discovered that everyone was shitting on it. So I think with content media, try to not listen to people. Cz I think thats why Crypt didn’t enjoy Godzilla cz everyone was tryna make it look like it was a shit song and he was rapping fast saying nothing.

I don’t know how you have Stronger Than I Was and Farewell as the worst songs of those albums! Both are very near my favourites. Stronger Than I Was helped me some tough times after a breakup. Farewell I see as being a song that you can hear in three different ways and it makes it so amazing for me and it sounds so good and bouncy. For me, the whole song is a triple with him talking about a woman, talking about drug usage and talking about the rap game

I mostly disagree with you but hey we all have our differences. A lot of it comes down to where we were in our lives when the album dropped. SS, MM, ES blew my mind but I grew up on Em. Mockingbird is great in what the song is about but I skip that song everytime. Same with pop a bottle. Each your own.

My unpopular opinions: “Beautiful” was the worst song on “Relapse”, by far. “The Ringer” may be the greatest Eminem song, ever. “Music to be Murdered By” is the greatest Eminem album, of all time. “Marsh” is one of his greatest songs. When “Revival” dropped, it was my favorite album from any artist, until “Kamikaze” dropped.

4:18 It’s funny i was gonna make a post or story about how Eminem didn’t get radio play a lot, but got tv and film play. And Big Weenie got played during a CSI episode when one of the CSI’s had to take samples of different hotdogs (weenies) for a case.😂 But Puke is kinda one of favorite songs off this album.
For relapse I gotta say 3 am is the best on that album! The lyrics, chorus, and beat are killer! But relapse has a lot of good ones like forever, underground. And many more for the worst I’d say taking my ball, I just hate the way he sings it plus the best seems outta wake with the lyrics. But I do agree beautiful is good too just 3 am is better lol.

The worst song on Eminem Show, is the Dr. Dre one. Every other song by Eminem had a good beat, and was about something interesting. But here comes Dre talking about himself like anyone cares. And Eminem is like “well I’m with ya homie” sounded so cringe. Not a good song at all and should have been removed.

How is Encore one of your least favorite albums??? Evil Deeds, Mockingbird, Like Toy Soldiers, Mosh, We As Americans, Love You More, Crazy in Love… all bangers my guy. Encore is top 5. Eminem Show, MMLP, SSLP, Encore, Relapse. And Puke ain’t even that bad. My First Single was the worst on the album, but it’s still not that bad. And bruh… Cinderella Man even being considered? Over Seduction? I can understand No Love, but I’d have gone with Space Bound… But Cinderella Man??? Lucky You is great, but I’d go with Not Alike over The Ringer for second place.
Beautiful is the best song he’s ever made? Hello the worst on the album? This one is egregious. Beautiful has a good vibe and message but the writing is mediocre. Definitely has to be stay wide awake as the best on this album. The ringer definitely is the best song on Kamikaze. Farewell is awesome. How was that the choice? Little engine I wouldn’t have been mad with even though I kinda vibe to that one. I honestly hate you gon learn on this album. The rest I either predicted or wasn’t mad at.
