A luxury cruise ship, the Ocean Explorer, has been stranded in Greenland for three days after running aground in the region. The ship, which has 206 passengers and crew, was rescued by a Greenland research trawler after it was grounded within the Northeast Greenland National Park. The Ocean Explorer, operated by Australia-based cruise company Aurora Expeditions, was traveling towards a remote corner of the park when it ran aground above the Arctic Circle in Alpefjord. High tide on Tuesday failed to free the ship, and a fishing research vessel assisted in the rescue operation.

A group of eight cruise passengers were left stranded at a port in West Africa after the vessel didn’t allow them to board due to lateness.
