Where Is The Cruise Ship Port In Santorini?

Santorini, located between Athens and Crete, is part of the Cyclades group of over 200 islands. It is one of the most visited cruise destinations in Greece, with three main ports of call: Athinios, Vlychada, and Oia. Each port offers unique charms and provides a different experience for visitors.

Santorini has two ports: Athinios Port and the Old Port of Fira. Both ports are too small for cruise ships to dock directly, so they must rely on a ship tender. The ports schedule lists all ships with cruises going to or leaving from Santorini Island, Thira, Greece.

The Athinios Port is commonly used and is located at the bottom of the Caldera Cliffs in Fira. Oia is situated on the north of the island, 11 km away from Fira. Taxis and buses are available for transportation, with the bus station offering a 15-euro fare.

The Santorini Cruise Port is located beneath Fira, one of the largest villages of Thira and the capital of the island. All cruise ships anchor off Fira within the Caldera, with Athinios being the international port.

In summary, Santorini is a popular cruise destination in the Aegean Sea, in the Cyclades island group of Greece. The three main ports of call are Athinios, Vlychada, and Oia, each with its own unique charms and experiences for visitors.
