Where Is The Cruise Ship Port In Astoria?

The Port of Astoria, located in the coastal town of Astoria, Oregon, has been a stop for cruise ships since the early 1980s. With up to 40 cruise ship locations and schedules, the port is well-equipped to cater to the needs of cruise passengers. The MV Astoria, built as the transatlantic ocean liner Stockholm for Swedish American Line, was rebuilt as a cruise ship in 1993. The port’s East Basin is about 2.5 miles from downtown, and if more than one ship is docked, passengers may be tendered in. A shuttle service is available for those arriving by ship.

The north face of Pier 1 serves as a cruise ship berth port-of-call for various cruise lines, including Holland America, Norwegian, Royal Caribbean, and Radisson Seven Seas. The Port of Astoria Boatyard is located at 524 Gateway Ave. Astoria, OR 97103. The Astoria Sunday Market coordinates vendors during visits by cruise ships, offering a variety of art, jewelry, and souvenir crafts.

A trolley runs from the cruise ship street (Portway) all the way east to 39th Street, making frequent stops along the way. The river boat docked in Astoria, Oregon, is sheltered from the open waters of the Pacific. The website suggests that the trolley only runs between the port and Downtown Astoria with no other stops in between.
