Where Do Cruise Ships Dock For Venice?

Cruise ships dock in Venice at several locations along the city’s waterways, including the Venice Cruise Terminal. The terminal is located near Piazzale Roma, the city’s only parking lot, and is situated across the Grand Canal from the Venezia Santa Terminal. The main cruise port of Venice is called Stazione Marittima (Maritime Station), where most Mediterranean cruises dock. At peak periods when berths are full, ships may dock at alternatives nearby.

Venice is an enchanting city that everyone should visit. From the Stazione Marittima cruise port, it takes about 20 minutes to reach Marks Square. You can also walk 10-15 minutes to Piazzale Roma to catch more cruise ships. Marghera Cruise Port, located on the mainland, is Venice’s cruise terminal on the mainland. It stretches over 290,000 m2 and is conveniently located between main road, rail, and air connections. SeaDreams small ships still dock at San Basilio close to the cruise terminal. The Aegean Odyssey was docked at the main cruise terminal when we visited.

Stazione Marittima stands out as one of the prominent docks for cruise liners in Venice. Nestled at the edge of the Adriatic Sea, the ports schedule lists all ships with cruises going to or leaving from Venice, Marghera, Italy. Emeralds luxury super yachts, Emerald Sakara and Azzurra, are small enough to dock into central Venice at the San Basilio Cruise Terminal.
