The Legacy 32 and 42 were acquired by Tartan Marine Company in 2010, which moved the molds and tooling to its Fairport Ohio manufacturing facility. The Legacy Superyachts, originally built by Westport in the United States, are a 34.14m superyacht built by Westport in 2003.
Tartan Marine Company recently acquired the assets of the Tartan LegacyAMP operation in Fairport Harbor, Ohio, which has a 60-year history of designing and building boats. The Legacy 12 was originally planned to be built at the Tartan facility in Fairport, Ohio, but manufacturing was moved to the MMG yard in Tampa, Florida.
