When Dose The Carabean Sailing Season Start?

The Caribbean is a popular offshore sailing location, with the sailing season running from November to April. This timeframe is considered the best time to sail the Caribbean due to its warm weather and stable conditions. The Bahamas, a popular destination with 700 islands, is also a great time to visit, offering a vibrant energy and lively atmosphere.

The dry season runs from November to April, and hurricane season in the Caribbean occurs from July to November, with peak months occurring in September and October. The Virgin Islands’ peak season for yacht charters is from late November through early August. The yachting season in the Caribbean is at its most fabulous during the Northern Hemisphere winter between December and May.

The cruising season in the eastern Caribbean is from November to May or June, with insurance companies typically requiring lay-up ashore. The sailing season lasts all year round, with cruises and tour operators offering trips to the islands from January to December. The Caribbean springs to life in March and April as festival season begins, with slightly warmer temperatures and little-to-no-clouds in sight.

The peak season is between December and April, with temperatures ranging between 73F (23C) and 83F (28C), setting the scene for great sailing. The best time to visit the Caribbean is during the dry season, which runs from November to April.
