A Princess MedallionClass vacation begins with your Medallion, which can be purchased pre-cruise accessories or personalized to wear as a keepsake of your MedallionClass® vacation experience onboard a Princess®. The Medallion does not store anything, and its battery inside will soon die. It can be used as a fridge magnet, keepsake, or toss it in the bin.

The Medallion has no bearing on boarding time, so you will be notified within the MedallionClass® app when it is time for you to disembark. You can also use the Medallion for after-carriage activities, such as ordering two drinks with your Medallion and having the waiter see you are together. However, if you just have the Medallion and the person isn’t with you, you won’t be able to use it.

Is a Princess medallion reusable?

Also, if you buy an accessory, like a wristband/bracelet or a necklace for the Princess Medallion to go into, you can reuse it for the next cruise you go on with the new Medallion that you get for your next cruise.

But you do get a new one for each Princess Cruise you take because it’s linked to that specific sailing.

Do I have to use the Princess Medallion app?

Topspot. The actual medallion has an RIF chip in it that opens the door. You’d need to use that, but you really don’t need to use the app. You do need to put all of your info in prior to boarding, it just makes things a little smoother at the port.

Once onboard, everything goes into the safe: Passports, phone, wallet, notebook, watch…

I go cruising to do everything opposite of my life at home: no work, no phone, no computer/laptop, no schedule…

Does Princess Medallion have a battery?

Inside the medallion, there are two sensors and a battery, similar to a watch battery. Even though it has a battery, you do not need to charge your medallion. It should last the entire length of your vacation.
