Barbossa, a villainous pirate captain, is the most developed character in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. He orders Jack Sparrow to be tied to the foremast, Henry Turner, and Carina Smyth to the wooden stand for ships bell on the quarterdeck as the Pearl prepares to sail. Salazar gains on the Dying Gull, and the ship’s crew decides not to part with Salazar’s vengeance against Jack, mutinying and forcing their departure.
One night, while sailing off the coast of Hispaniola, Barbossa’s crew is attacked by Queen Anne’s Revenge, the infamous Queen Anne’s Revenge. In the third Pirates of the Caribbean movie, At Worlds End, Barbossa rescues Jack and his beloved ship from the purgatory-like state of Davy Jones Locker. The Black Pearl, formerly known as the Wicked Wench, is a fictional ship in the Pirates of the Caribbean film series. The screenplay suggests that Barbossa and his crew sail to Isla de Muerta, where they find Aztec gold, which was spent quickly without believing in the curse placed on the ship.
With two ships, Barbossa can start making his own fleet, with the Dauntless serving as Barbossa’s flagship and the Black Pearl under the command of Jack. Barbossa and Sparrow head to Shipwreck Cove, home of the Brethren Court, to gather information about the ship. The Black Pearl is believed to be the Wicked Wench, as Blackbeard once wielded the Sword Of Triton, a mythical, magical talisman that allowed the rogue pirate to control his ship.
The Flying Dutchman, also translated as the Flying Dutchman, is a legendary ghost ship that can never return home and is destined to sail adrift.
