Royal Caribbean’s Radiance of the Seas cruise ship experienced a technical issue with its propulsion system, causing both voyages to be canceled. The ship underwent repairs and resumed sailing on September 15, 2023. The incident began during a repositioning sailing from Los Angeles to Vancouver. Guests were notified of a 100% refund for the cost of the cruise, including any taxes and fees. A 19-year-old passenger went overboard the largest cruise ship in the world on Tuesday, and a search for him is ongoing. Royal Caribbean International has reached out to guests booked aboard multiple sailings in 2023 of Radiance of the Seas with an interim update on the ships.
