What A Girl Wants Henley Regatta?

Henley Royal Regatta is a renowned rowing event held annually in Henley-on-Thames, England, attracting over 1,500 competitors. The event, which began in the 1960s, is the pinnacle of a rowers’ career, starting at schoolboy and girl levels. Competitors must wear dresses or skirts with hemlines around the knee. Women must wear badges and boat tents, and must be prepared to bounce, booms, and between-race recovery.

The 2025 Regatta will be raced over six days from 1 July to 6 July. The event is a highlight of both the summer sporting calendar and the social season. The Henley Womens Regatta, which was once the only regatta for serious oarswomen in England, has been adding women’s events over the years to work towards gender equality. The Henley Womens Regatta Shop will feature HWR branded clothing, performance wear, commemorative gifts, and a range of beautiful items during the regatta.

The event is a highlight of both the summer sporting calendar and the social season, with the Henley Womens Regatta Shop offering a range of products and services to support the event.

Can anyone go to Henley Regatta?

Do you need a ticket to go to the Henley Royal Regatta?. Yes, you do. There are two places in Henley-on-Thames from which you can watch the Royal Regatta: the Stewards’ Enclosure, which is members-only, and the Regatta Enclosure, which is open to the public.

Anyone can buy a ticket for the Regatta Enclosure, but they are in high demand. Tickets go on sale in the spring, but they usually sell out months before the regatta itself, similar to Wimbledon.

The best way to secure tickets is to sign up to their mailing list. You’ll then receive an email alert when tickets go on sale to the public.

Is there a Henley Women’s Regatta?. Yes, the Henley Women’s Regatta takes place around ten days before the Royal Regatta. It uses the same course along the River Thames, but it’s slightly shorter. 1,500 female rowers from all over the country come to compete. Unlike the Royal Regatta, no tickets are required; you can just turn up and watch from the riverbank.
