📹 10 Bad Luggage Features That’ll Drive You Crazy While Traveling (Do NOT buy these bags)
Learn 10 luggage features to avoid before you buy a new carry-on suitcase for airline travel. #traveltips #travelbag #carryononly …
I find your articles very helpful because of your concise, practical explanation. Thank you. Question: What is your opinion of bags that open on one side rather than zip in half? I had a hard sided carryon similar to some in your article, and found it annoying that I needed twice as much space in my hotel room to open it. The soft sided one I currently have (though old and lacking some features), seems to be more accessible since can reach everything without doubling the floor/carrier space to open it.
Laurie I enjoy your content so helpful. I’m going to Italy & Greece in April for 15 days and need a carryon personal bag that I can manage as a 69 yr old w a bad shoulder and that will fit comfortably under the seat. I prefer one with wheels like you mentioned in this article, but it doesn’t look like it will hold much. I also bought the Lovenook(loveit) quilted bag but after I loaded it it was very heavy, I will have 2 layovers going and coming and don’t want to have to lug one around on my shoulder that heavy. Which wheeled case do you think would work best for me? Thanks so much for your help.
Hi Laurie. I am rewatching your article as we need to buy a new checked bag for our trip to Switzerland, so we can bring our hiking poles. I bought the Travel Pro Max Lite 5 for my husband for a carry on a few years ago after perusal your article and recommendations. He really likes it. Do you still like the Travel Pro for a 25 inch bag checked bag? Thanks.
Hey Laurie, Great article as usual. I always get something from your tips. The wheels tip is just EVERYTHING. Amazing and so easy to do. Cuts out even trying all those cheap looking carry0ons at TJ-Max. Haha. Also looking at zippers. Sooooo very important. I have had the same carry-on for many years now. To be honest I usually get Tumi and they are amazing even if they seem expensive. I have one I bought in 2013 and it is just as functional as when I first got it. You do amazing work and are saving people form making costly mistakes. Also you provide some needed interest and some polite niceness online. Hard to come by nowadays. Thanks Laurie!
I have been told that if one is right handed then one’s strongest arm will be the left. The theory is that one needs the right hand free to manipulate things like door handles, or a wallet, so one loads extra weight onto the left side of the body. I would guess that the reason you prefer to grab the top handle with your right hand is that you want to use that hand to guide the bag as you shove it in. Your left arm is really doing most of the lifting, placed as it is in the center of the long side. This explanation in no way invalidates your advice, but supports it.
I feel like you were a message from God I am, moving from California to Spain for work ( 5 years) and I have a luxury brand luggage (LV) which I am not bringing and one other that was a hand me down and I have been researching so much about luggage and what to buy etc and here comes your article thank you! new subscriber for sure! 🙏🏼❤ I am looking to get larger size instead of taking 3-5 suitcases, do you have any recommendations? Thank you in advance!
