How To Sneak Box Wine On A Cruise?

To sneak wine on a cruise, there are various methods to do so. One popular method is using a wine flask, which can be used to conceal the alcohol. Another method is using Listerine bottles, which can be filled with clear liquors like vodka and gins and colored with food coloring. Mouthwash bottles are another popular way to sneak alcohol on cruises. Carnival Cruise Line allows guests to bring one bottle of wine on board, but if more are needed, a concealed and reusable cruise flask kit is required.

Cruise lines typically allow each passenger to bring one bottle, except for MSC and Costa Cruises. Some passengers wonder if it is possible to sneak alcohol through security checks before boarding. Here are seven methods:

1. Empty a bottle of wintergreen mouthwash, sterilize it with boiling water, and let it dry. Fill it with alcohol and dye the liquid with green or blue food coloring. Wrap it in unmentionables.

2. Buy wine bottle corks and wrap them on Amazon. Drink the wine, wash it out, fill it with your choice of liquor, re-cork, wrap the top, and carry on.

3. Hide alcohol in with other liquids, such as shampoo bottles. This highly rated set of fake toiletry is another ingenious way to sneak alcohol on a cruise.

In summary, there are several ways to sneak alcohol on a cruise, including using wine flasks, Listerine bottles, wine bags with hidden dispensers, unlabeled water bottles, wine bras or racks, hollowed-out books or Pringles cans, and tinting white wine to resemble water.

Is there a way to share the drink package on a cruise?

“Any guest wishing to purchase an alcoholic beverage package must do so for all guests of legal drinking age in the same stateroom.”

This means that each adult must purchase a drink package, not allowing you to share one package among multiple people.

If some adults in your group do not wish to purchase a drink package, there are a couple ways to avoid this.

First, you can call Royal Caribbean and ask for an exemption. Usually, the line will permit the guest to purchase a less-expensive drink package, like the Royal Refreshment package.

What happens if you get caught sharing a drink package?

Of course, if your party is divided amongst cabins, it’s a little easier to bypass this requirement. Even so, Carnival Cruise Line discourages sharing packages. If you’re caught, they have the right to revoke your package, even if you are only a few days into your weeklong cruise.

The sharing of packages isn’t permitted for a few reasons. First, they profit off of each package sold. If one person pays $440 for a 5-night cruise and shares it with another passenger, that’s $440 that Carnival won’t see. Additionally, they cannot verify the age of guests who are handed a drink, whereas everyone who orders at the bar must present their Sail & Sign card.

Even if you think you’re being sneaky, it’s easier to get caught than you think. There are cameras located all around the ship, and bartenders are trained to keep an eye out for those who might be taking advantage of drink packages.

Far-Brother3882 responded to a Reddit thread saying that they once traveled with a couple who purchased a CHEERS! Package. “She ordered a drink and he finished it,” they wrote, “The bartenders in Alchemy got all over her about it.”

How do you pack wine in luggage so it doesn’t break?

Taking each individual bottle and wrapping them in something soft before packing them is the ideal way to protect the bottles. If you know you’re going to be bringing wine home from a trip, a wine travel bag that can fit in your luggage is a great thing to bring. You can also wrap the bottles in bubble wrap before packing them, but not everyone has these things available.

We recommend putting each bottle into a long sock and then individually wrapping them up in your clothing so that you’re never having bottle on bottle contact.

If you don’t have socks long enough to cover the wine bottle, just be sure to wrap them extremely well in your clothes and then stagger them between layers of clothing. The further away from each other the bottles are, the less chance they will bang into each other and break.

Do cruise ships scan luggage?

When you arrive at the Port Authority Security in the cruise terminal, you will pass a security checkpoint where all carry-on luggage goes through X-rays and other baggage is checked in. All checked bags on cruise ships are scanned.

Passengers must pass through an airport-style detector and they will have a digital photo taken. Most cruise lines employ former police or military personnel to process boarding checks, and scent dogs may be present to check for drugs, which are among many items prohibited on board. Any sealed alcohol usually is confiscated and returned at the end of the cruise, both at home port and ports of call during the journey.

Do they check wine bottles on a Carnival cruise?

Guests are prohibited from bringing alcoholic beverages on board with the following exception – at the beginning of the cruise during embarkation day only, guests (21 years of age and older) may bring one 750-ml bottle of sealed/unopened wine or champagne, per person, in their carry-on luggage.* Outside this exception, …

Proper travel documentation is required at embarkation and throughout the cruise. Even though a guest has completed registration using Online Check-in, it is still the responsibility of the guest to present the required travel documents at the time of embarkation. Guests should check with their travel agent and/or government authority to determine the travel documents necessary for each port of call. Any guest without proper documents will not be allowed to board the vessel and no refund of the cruise fare will be issued. Carnival assumes no responsibility for advising guests of proper travel documentation.

Except where it is a mandatory requirement, Carnival highly recommends that all guests travel with a passport book. The passport book must be valid for at least six months beyond the completion of travel. This will enhance the debarkation experience as delays may be expected upon return to the United States for those without one. Additionally, this will enable guests to fly from the United States to meet their ship at a foreign port should they miss their scheduled port of embarkation and allow guests who must disembark the ship before their cruise ends, due to an emergency, to fly back to the United States without significant delays and complications.

For cruises that begin and end in the same U.S port, the following WHTI-compliant documents are acceptable for cruise travel. Please note that if the cruise visits Colombia or Greenland, a passport book(valid for at least six months beyond the completion of travel) is required. A passport card with the same validity is also acceptable for cruises to Colombia.

Do cruise ships check your bags for alcohol?

Body Scanners. While cruise ships don’t typically have the scanning technology you’ll find at airports, you’ll still have your luggage scanned and need to walk through an X-ray machine.

This machine can detect any liquids you may be carrying on your person, meaning you can’t hide any small bottles of alcohol in your pockets!

Room Inspections. Even if you somehow get past the cruise ship scanner with your booze, there’s still a chance of getting caught sneaking alcohol. Any cruise line can inspect any cruise passenger’s room for any reason. You’ll find this in your cruise contract, where you can also read the alcohol policy.

While most cruise lines aren’t in the habit of doing random searches, there’s still a possibility that they’ll search your cabin, especially if they suspect something is wrong.

Can you bring boxed wine on cruise?

On embarkation day, each guest of drinking age may bring one sealed 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne. Boxed wine and other containers are prohibited. Guests who purchase alcohol bottles onboard, in a port-of-call, or bring more than the one permitted bottle on boarding day, will have their items safely stored by the ship. These bottles will be returned on the last day onboard for enjoyment once home.

For consecutive sailings, guests of drinking age are allowed to bring one 750 ml bottle of wine or champagne for each individual sailing. Additional bottles will be stored by the ship and delivered, one bottle at a time, to the stateroom on the first day of each new voyage. Guests bringing more than one bottle at the start of the first sailing should have documentation for any consecutive sailings available to share with security.

Alcoholic beverages (beer, seltzer or hard liquor) seized on embarkation day will not be returned.
