The 2025 Henley Royal Regatta is set to take place from July 1st to 6th, 2024, and is a five-day event that attracts teams from around the world to compete in hundreds of races. The event is a highlight of summer sporting events in Europe, UK, and England. To book tickets, visitors can take the M4 motorway from junction 89 onto the A404 and follow the signs to Henley. Tickets are available for purchase online at the Henley Regatta website, with Friday tickets costing £42 and Sunday tickets costing £37.
The Regatta Enclosure is open to everyone, and tickets are on sale in Spring 2025. The gates open from 8am on Tuesday, July 2nd, Wednesday, July 3rd, and Thursday, Monday morning. The event kicks off tomorrow, with Tuesday featuring a lot of men’s racing to start the week between the booms. Day tickets (or ‘badges’) typically cost between £20 and £35 depending on the day, giving access to the Regatta Enclosure and surrounding facilities. Children under 14 are admitted.
There are two places in Henley-on-Thames from which visitors can watch the Royal Regatta. The journey to Twyford Station takes approximately 15 minutes, and during the competition, crews from all over the world take on the head-to-head knock-out competition on the River Thames. Official rowing hospitality with Keith Keith will be provided.
In the lead up to the regatta, the Ticket Office is located at the end of the corridor to the right of Reception. Tickets can be purchased securely online at any time, day or night. From premium seats to luxury, the Ticket Office is available to book online or submit a booking form.

Do you need a ticket to go to the Henley Royal Regatta?. Yes, you do. There are two places in Henley-on-Thames from which you can watch the Royal Regatta: the Stewards’ Enclosure, which is members-only, and the Regatta Enclosure, which is open to the public.
Anyone can buy a ticket for the Regatta Enclosure, but they are in high demand. Tickets go on sale in the spring, but they usually sell out months before the regatta itself, similar to Wimbledon.
The best way to secure tickets is to sign up to their mailing list. You’ll then receive an email alert when tickets go on sale to the public.
Is there a Henley Women’s Regatta?. Yes, the Henley Women’s Regatta takes place around ten days before the Royal Regatta. It uses the same course along the River Thames, but it’s slightly shorter. 1,500 female rowers from all over the country come to compete. Unlike the Royal Regatta, no tickets are required; you can just turn up and watch from the riverbank.

. Attending Henley Royal Regatta. The Stewards’ Enclosure will give you the most desirable vantage point. Although the wait time to become a member is six to ten years, don’t worry: are long as you are a guest of a member, you’re in. Situated on the Berkshire bank, opposite the Finish Line, racing can be viewed from the Members’ Grandstand (reserved seating), the Fawley Grandstand (unreserved seating) and the Floater (Members only).
TheRegatta Enclosure, situated on the Berkshire bank, just downstream from the Stewards’ Enclosure, is open to competitors, supporters and the general public. With seating alongside the river and in an open grandstand, The Regatta Enclosure also has a covered restaurant, an outside dining area and a bar. Regatta Enclosure admission badges are valid for the whole day and must be worn at all times within the Enclosure. Badges are also valid for entry into the Boat Tent area. It’s good to note that large bags are not permitted within these areas.

Can I wear a jumpsuit to Henley?
Strictly Black tie : No Trainers. The Henley Festival has a formal Black tie dress code. We ask all guests to be part of the Henley Festival show, remember you can never be over dressed at Henley – think dinner jackets and bow ties, long or short evening wear, glitz and glamour! Dark lounge suits, evening trousers and smart jumpsuits are also acceptable.
Casual attire including, denim and leather clothing, trainers of any style and informal footwear, are not permitted and you may be refused entry to the event.
The only time we don’t have a Black tie dress code is for Playdate, our children’s Festival.
Where is the best place to watch the Henley Regatta?
Stewards’ Enclosure. for MEMBERS & THEIR GUESTS. The Stewards’ Enclosure is situated on the Berkshire bank, directly opposite the Finish Line, and offers the ultimate vantage point to experience the competition. It is home to two Grandstands, a Prize Tent & Art Gallery, a Shop, and an array of Bars & Restaurants, and prime riverside seating to catch all the racing action. This Enclosure is for Members and their guests, including children aged ten and over. A Stewards’ Enclosure Badge also allows access to the Regatta Enclosure.
Regatta Enclosure. for the GENERAL PUBLIC. Situated on the Berkshire bank, just downstream from the Stewards’Enclosure, the Regatta Enclosure is open to all and is the ideal place from where families and supporters can watch the racing, including babies and children of all ages. The Regatta Enclosure features riverside seating and an open Grandstand, as well as a covered restaurant offering both formal & informal dining, and a bar where you can enjoy something cool and refreshing with friends.
Little Lion Meadow. Open to all | no ticket required. Conveniently situated close to the Stewards’ Enclosure and Regatta Enclosure entrances. Open from 07:30 for breakfast and coffee, and serving a range of tempting snacks and small bites throughout the day. This social space is the perfect place to meet up with friends before entering one of our Enclosures. Little Lion Meadow is also home to our Official Partners, who look forward to welcoming you to the event.
How much are Henley Regatta tickets?
Depending on the day you attend, daily admission prices range between £34 – £56 per person.
Children of all ages are welcome, and admission is free for under 14s when accompanied by an adult with a valid Badge.
Why not join us on Regatta Sunday for the Prizegiving Ceremony which takes place at 17:00, and when holders of Competitor Badges and Sunday Regatta Enclosure Badges are welcome to watch the presentation from within the Stewards’ Enclosure, when the dress code will be relaxed.

What is the best day to go to Henley Regatta?
If you’ve never been to the Henley Royal Regatta then to get the best out of your day, my suggestion would be to try a quieter day, Wednesday or Thursday as Friday appears to be the Corporate day (I’m sure many of those don’t even leave the Pimms of Champagne bar) and Saturdays are just plain busy!
