Terry Alan Crews, born on July 30, 1968, is an American actor, television host, and former football player. He gained fame for his role as Julius Rock in the UPNCW sitcom Everybody Hates Chris from 2005 to 2009 and portrayed Terry Jeffords in the film Idiocracy. Crews began his career in the NFL playing for the Los Angeles Rams and later became an actor.
He earned an art excellence scholarship to attend Western Michigan University and later married gospel singer and former beauty queen Rebecca King-Crews. They have five children together. Crews started his career in the NFL as a defensive end for the Los Angeles Rams. In August 2015, Crews shared an introspective post on Americas Got Talent Host about his life.
Crews is 6′ 2″ (1.88 m) tall and has been married since 1989. He is also known for his roles in popular television sitcoms and game shows, including the Golden Globe Award-winning comedy Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Crews recently celebrated his 55th birthday, sharing his life lessons and accomplishments.
