Do Cruise Ships Provide Beach Towels?

Cruise ships offer guests the option to take pool towels ashore for use on the beach and during excursions. These towels are typically stashed by the pool or handed out as guests head off the ship. Royal Caribbean cruises provide all necessary towels at no extra cost, including bath, hand, and face towels for cabins and beach towels. Oversized logo beach towels are provided in each stateroom for guests to take ashore.

Guests do not need to pack beach towels when going cruising, as they are provided on the pool deck. Fresh towels can be obtained at any time and taken off the ship when visiting islands. However, guests must remember to return them. Poolbeach towels are available for check-out at stations located on the pool deck, and guests must have their SeaPass card to check out. They can be used on the ship and while in port.

All cruise lines provide plenty of towels for guests, which can be found in your cabin, by the pool, or in the Spa. Hairdryers are also available for use. For poolside and beachy ports, ships furnish the towels, which can be found by scanning your seapass card with a crew member. Carnival also provides towels for guest use, but guests can leave them at home to save space in their luggage.

In summary, cruise ships provide all necessary towels for guests, including bath, hand, and face towels, beach towels, and bathrobes. However, guests should ensure they do not lose or leave them behind, as leaving them in their room after the cruise may result in charges.

What toiletries are provided on cruises?

Check the bathroom before you leave to make sure you haven’t left behind contact lenses, contact solution, glasses, medications, deodorant, mouthwash and hair gel. If you do forget anything, however, the ship will have a convenience store where you can pick up any toiletries or sundries that you left behind at home.

You should make sure you have a wide array of clothing packed away in your suitcase, as cruises may require everything from a casual swimsuit to a formal tuxedo. Princess Cruises is smart casual, so pack clothing that adheres to that guideline. On the informal side of things, both men and women may want to pack away breezy shirts, comfortable sandals and shorts for the day, while they can opt for a sweatshirt or windbreaker to help them stay warm if temperatures drop. In addition, bringing along a rain jacket, an umbrella and galoshes may be a good idea if rainy weather interrupts any scheduled shore excursions. For more formal settings, men should bring a dinner jacket, slacks, or a dark suit and a nice pair of shoes, while women may want to bring an evening gown, cocktail dress, or elegant pant suit. When packing, bring wrinkle-free items or try rolling your clothes. Folding clothes can create creases, and cruise cabins are not equipped with irons (although they can be found in the ship’s laundry rooms).

Is it OK to wear jeans on a cruise?

Casual. To most of us Brits, casual means one thing and one thing only– jeans! The good news is that denim in the form of jeans, jackets, shorts and skirts is generally a perfectly acceptable daytime casual cruise look, often combined with a T-shirt but check before you go for lunch – those designer jeans may cut it for a promenade on deck but some lines don’t allow jeans in their restaurants, however expensive they might have been!

Fitness freaks can feel free to lounge around in lycra during the day, and of course, no cruise suitcase is packed until it contains at least two swimsuits and cover-ups. Bear in mind swimwear and flip flops are almost always a big no-no at mealtimes unless you’re having a relaxed poolside snack.

Casual can be harder to get right for an evening look as it’s all about looking as if you haven’t tried too hard, but in general, the rule is to ditch the denim and t-shirts in favour of casual shirts and trousers/smart shorts for men and laid back skirts, sundresses and ‘dressy’ tops for ladies.

Next up is a compilation of everything I wore to dinner. I didn’t pack any extra outfits – this was everything in my suitcase. Since I didn’t travel by plane, I was liberal with how many pairs of heels I packed, but if you’re flying, I would narrow down your dinner outfit shoes to 1-3 pairs to save space.

• Two outfits for formal night. // My outfits for formal night are the two in the far left column. I would sum up formal night dress code (aka “cruise elegant”) as cocktail attire. Some people will wear tuxedos and evening gowns (‘black tie”) but it’s not necessary to go that fancy if you’re not up for it. Both of the dresses I wore would feel too fancy to wear out to dinner, but formal enough to consider for a wedding.
• Outfits for the remaining nights of dinner. // Our cruise was 8 nights, so there are 8 outfits here. I went pretty casual in linen pants and a jumpsuit two of the nights, while the other nights I went for dressier outfits I would normally wear on a date or a night out. Items that aren’t allowed in the dining room are gym shorts, bathing suit attire, cut-off jeans, sleeveless shirts for men and baseball hats. Otherwise anything is game. • Clutches. // I carried a “regular” purse onto the ship and then didn’t touch it again until we left. Little clutches are perfect to take to dinner with you. All you need is your room key and some lip gloss!

How many outfits should I pack for a 7 day cruise?

Here’s what to pack for a 7-day cruise to the Caribbean. No matter where you sail to, clothing is going to take up the bulk of your suitcase. You should average two outfits per day, as you’ll wear one during the day and one at night for dinner.

I find that I like to re-wear at least two or three outfits at night to save space. Plus, I just don’t like having to plan seven different outfits for each night. This, however, is a personal preference.

In the Caribbean, daytime wear is equivalent to what you’d wear to the beach or when partaking in an active activity at home. On some days, a bathing suit and cover-up might be sufficient, especially if you’re going on an excursion and spending all day on the beach or by the ship’s pool while at sea.

On other days, you might opt for an excursion with a specific dress code. You cannot, for instance, go zip-lining through Jamaica wearing flip-flops and swim trunks.

Can I bring a full bottle of shampoo on a cruise?

3-1-1 Liquids Rule. You are allowed to bring a quart-size, zip-lock bag of liquids, aerosols, gels, creams and pastes though the checkpoint in carryon luggage.

• These combined items need to be less than 3 ounces.

• So the 3-1-1 rule is the TSA’s quick reminder: 3 ounces, 1 quart bag and 1 bag per traveler.
• Note that food items, such as peanut butter, sauces or beverages need to fit within this 1 bag and larger items will be confiscated and discarded. If you are buying food items as gifts or to eat at your destination, then pack them in your checked suitcase.

Medications / Travel Challenges. The TSA does allow travelers to carry medications with them while traveling and these medications do not need to be packed in you 3-1-1 bag.

• Medications in pill or other solid form must undergo security screening.
• It is recommended that medication be clearly labeled to facilitate the screening process.
• Bring evidence verifying a medial implant or device if it is likely to set off an alarm while being screened. This is not a TSA requirement, but it may ease the process.TSA has extensive guidanceon this topic.

Does all inclusive include beach towels?

Will I need to bring a beach towel?. You’ll be glad to know, you won’t need to squeeze a beach towel into your suitcase if you’re going on an all inclusive holiday. Instead, you’ll be able to use the towels available at the resort and return them when you’re done. Sometimes you’ll need a towel card, but this depends on the hotel.

Are most things complimentary on a cruise?

Cruises promise tasty food and lots of it — this can come in the form of large dining rooms, buffets and snack stations by the pool. As part of the cruise price, there is always complimentary food of many types and flavors. Drinks included are tap water, some juices and iced tea on most lines; everything else typically costs extra. Coffee and tea are complimentary, but you’ll usually need to pay for specialty coffee beverages.

Live music, crew performances, Broadway-style shows and musical revues are generally free on cruises. Some cruises may charge extra for certain shows, but in most cases, entertainment is included in your ticket.

Many cruise lines have children’s clubs with supervised activities, and the use of these is often included in the overall cruise fare. In-room babysitting, however, will cost you extra.

Do you have to dress up every night for dinner on a cruise?

Dinner or “smart casual” attire. If you’re having dinner in the main restaurant or any meal at one of the specialty restaurants, you’ll follow a “smart casual” dress code on most nights. This means long pants, jeans, a dress or skirt, a stylish top, or a button-down.

We want our guests to feel comfortable, so Celebrity Cruises’ dress code for smart casual is fairly flexible, though there are some restrictions. T-shirts, swimsuits, robes, bare feet, tank tops, baseball caps, and pool wear are not allowed in the main restaurant or specialty restaurants at any time. In addition, shorts and flip-flops are not permitted during the evening hours.

The smart casual dress code works for all areas of the ship in the evening, including in bars and lounges and during shows and events at the ship’s theater.
