Can You Walk Into Vigo From Cruise Terminal?

Vigo is a hilly city with several terminals, making it easy to walk from the cruise port into the city center. The cruise terminal is located in the city center, just 300 feet from the cruise terminal, and a 10-minute walk is all it takes to get to the city center. The distance may depend on which terminal your ship docks at, but the walk does take up some inclines.

Vigilo is a very walkable city, so if you only have time to see the main attractions, you can easily access them on foot from the port. The city center is only 300 feet from the cruise terminal, and the journey takes about an hour and a half with stops. The ferry terminal is located 100 meters from the cruise terminal, where you can catch ferries to the town of Gangas and Cies Islands. Ferry tickets are available only at the tourist office.

A few minutes walk from the cruise terminal is the start of Vigos Old Town, once a Roman settlement, echoed in the narrow, winding lanes. The cruise terminal is located a 10-minute walk away from the city center, on the Muelle de Trasatlanticos, and offers facilities such as security screening, wheelchair assistance, and a shop. Many of Vigos attractions are within walking distance of the cruise terminal, particularly in the city’s historic center. Exploring on foot allows you to soak up the ambiance of the city.

The cruise terminal is situated on the first floor, offering a few small stores and a WiFi cafe for travelers’ convenience. You can easily walk around the Casco Vello, or Old Town, which spills over a hillside leading down to the port. There is a pleasing sense of freedom in Vigo, and the Jules Verne monument is only a 7-minute walk from the ship.
