Can Am Defender Oem Snorkel Kit?

The Can-Am Defender Snorkel Kit is a high-performance accessory designed to elevate the engine and CVT air intakes, allowing the vehicle to be semi-submerged in water mud without taking in water to the engine. This kit is available for both the 2018 Can-Am Defender Defender MAX models and 2017 and prior models. The XMR Extension Snorkel Kit by SYA is compatible with the Defender SSV and can be used with the OEM rear glass on any cab model Defender.

The kit includes warrior rims, LED options, all hardware, and more. It raises the engine air intake well above the handlebars, allowing for CVT breather tubes to extend upward. The ECU is relocated to allow for CVT breather tubes to extend upward. The kit is standard on Defender 2018 and up models.

The Can-Am XMR snorkel kit part number 715003727 is made of aluminum and anodized black and comes with the OEM rear glass on any cab model Defender. This upgrade is not only an improvement but also a game-changer for the 2017-2024 Canam Defender Limited.

I am a school teacher who was bitten by the travel bug many decades ago. My husband Billy has come along for the ride and now shares my dream to travel the world with our three children. The kids Pollyanna, 13, Cooper, 12 and Tommy 9 are in love with plane trips (thank goodness) and discovering new places, experiences and of course Disneyland.

  • I’m curious what requires that you have a snorkel kit. Drove my late Polaris through water over the wheels for breif periods and had no problems. We don’t take out new Defender in deep mud or streams intentionally so it may only get in water for short quick times. With the Polaris they just recomended you unscrew the drain plug for the belt cover to let it dry out – never found any water got in there. I don’t want to wreck our new machine but I don’t want to spend another $1K if I don’t have to. And come to find out in my state adding this kit is illegal for an ATV. Nanny wannabe state here.
