Kroger, a nationwide grocery retailer, is offering a senior discount policy for eligible customers aged 55 and older on specific dates. To take advantage of this discount, seniors must use their Kroger loyalty card or alternate ID and notify the cashier at the store. Kroger’s senior discounts are not limited to groceries but also extend to Kroger-owned restaurants. The discount is applicable on Kroger brand products and can vary by location.

On Wednesday, Kroger announced that customers aged 55 and older can receive a five-percent discount every Tuesday when they present their Kroger Plus Card. This discount is applicable to groceries and certain health products. Kroger also occasionally runs one-day-only Kroger Senior Discount Days, with discounts ranging from 5 off to 10 off for shoppers aged 55 or older.

While many major retailers, including Kroger and Walmart, have discontinued senior discount days, there are still several grocery stores that offer savings for seniors. Kroger’s Columbus Division, which operates 118 stores in Ohio, recently gave a one-day-only discount.
