Most cruise lines have dropped their vaccine and testing requirements, with smaller ships operating in 2023 scaling back their requirements. Passengers who are unvaccinated still require a test taken no more than 72 hours prior to departure, while pre-cruise testing is still required for voyages 16 days and above. Disney Cruise Line will change its vaccine and testing requirements starting September 2 for all cruises departing from US ports.
Vaccination is no longer required to sail, but guests are advised to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Windstar is the latest cruise line to require all guests to be vaccinated, with proof of vaccination at least 14 days prior to embarkation. Testing is not required for both vaccinated and unvaccinated guests, but guests aged 5 years and older are encouraged to take a pre-cruise COVID-19 test within three days.
Celebrity Cruises no longer requires vaccination or testing for most sailings. Pre-cruise testing is only required in select sailings. Most mass market cruise lines do not require Covid vaccine cards, but it is important to ask the cruise line. Most major cruise lines do not require guests to be vaccinated unless traveling from or to a destination that requires it. American Cruise Lines does not have a vaccine requirement for all passengers on any of its sailings, and pre-cruise testing is no longer required.
