Following the death of Bram van Leeuwen, Craig McCaw acquired and renamed the Falcon Lair, which was later renamed White Cloud. McCaw initiated a significant refit in 2004 at Peters Schiffbau in Ger. The ex-captain of Feadship’s 65m motoryacht White Cloud is facing legal charges relating to the damaging of coral and sea bed in the Turks and Caicos islands. He also owns Seaspan, a company providing marine services for the Pacific Northwest.
The Sea Cloud is a sailing cruise ship owned by Sea Cloud Cruises of Hamburg, Germany. It was launched as a private yacht as Hussar V for Marjorie Merriweather Post in 1931 and later served as a weather ship for the Onboard Superyacht of the Week: the classic Feadship White Cloud.
The Falcon Lair yacht, owned by Michael Rogerson, Chairman of the Rogerson Aircraft Corporation, has an estimated value of 25 million dollars. The yacht was built by Feadship with styling by Jon Bannenberg and was launched in 1983. Kathleen Woods, director of DEMA, has accused the captain of lacking the permit to anchor in the region.
White Cloud was sold to her current owner in 2014, and the yacht returned to Compositeworks to become her latest reincarnation as Falcon Lair. The yacht’s owner, Sedat Ergun, is the founder and CEO of Dunya Yachts in Turkey.
