The PLAN B yacht, owned by billionaire businessman and philanthropist Patokh Chodiev, was delivered by German shipbuilders Abu Dhabi Mar in 2012. Chodiev is one of the co-founders of the Eurasian Natural Resources Corporation and is known for his involvement in the yacht industry. The yacht, originally named for Matthew Flinders (1774-1814), was commissioned in 1973 and decommissioned in 1998. It has an overall length of m and was built by ADM Shipyards in the United Arab Emirates at their Kiel shipyard.

The yacht is now available for sale, with plans to refitt it in 2011 and undergo an extensive transformation from a military explorer vessel to a luxury motor yacht. The 49.07-metre H.M.A. Naval Dockyard superyacht Plan B was built in 1973 by the Australian Navy and was refitted in 2011.
