Who Owns Luxury Yacht Kismet?

Whisper, formerly known as Kismet, is a 95.2-meter (312 ft 4 in)-long superyacht built by Lürssen in 2014. It was managed by the Moran Yacht Ship chartering business and was owned by Pakistani-American billionaire Shahid Khan. In September 2023, the vessel was sold to Eric Schmidt, who has now rebranded it as Kismet Yacht. Kismet was built for Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan, who had commissioned the uber-luxurious vessel almost a decade ago as a replacement for Lürssen’s 122-meter superyacht Kismet (formerly Project Jag).

Kismet is one of the largest in the world, with a length of over 300 feet and an estimated value of over $200 million. It features designs from esteemed Lurssen Yachts and is one of the most luxurious yachts available. The custom-built boat is worth an estimated $200 million.

Kismet is not the first superyacht named Kismet that Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shahid Khan has commissioned. In fact, Khan’s previous superyachts include the 400-foot Lürssen superyacht Kismet, which was delivered to Khan in 2017. The new yacht, fitted out with a helipad, pool, and cinema docks in Scottish waters, is valued at £288 million. Eric Schmidt, whose net worth is estimated at over 20 billion, has just purchased Kismet, a luxury vessel owned by Shahid Khan.

Does Mark Zuckerberg own a yacht?

Mark Zuckerberg’s new yacht, Launchpad, is enjoying its summer debut. The megayacht recently stopped in Mallorca and has since ventured further into the Mediterranean. It looks like Zuckerberg may dethrone Jeff Bezos as king of this year’s superyacht season.

While the Amazon founder made waves last year with the debut of his megayacht Koru, Zuckerberg is the name on the yacht world’s lips this season.

By May, the transaction seemed all but confirmed when both the yacht and Zuckerberg made their way to Panama to celebrate his 40th birthday with a fete that included a few spins on his infamous hydrofoil.

Now that summer is here, Zuckerberg has debuted Launchpad —and her support superyacht Wingman — on the biggest stage in the yachting world: the Mediterranean.
